We stayed 3 nights at the Bourbon St Boutique Hotel. We chose it for it's location which is excellent - only two minutes walk from the sky train and Ekamai bus station - and in our case close to relatives we were visiting. However this is not a boutique hotel. In reality it is rooms above a bar. Reception was...

Very nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Reasonable prices. The beds are very comfortable and big. Nice showers and bathtubs depending on the room you get. A wide variety of TV channels and of course in-room internet for free.

Had high expectations for this place. I had a spacious room, a good bed. For the rest a room without any character. The bathroom had a combined bath-shower. The bath had a leak so after a shower the entire bathroom was wet. The bathroom had a terrible sewersmell all day. There is a safe in the room but there is...

This is my third stay at Bourbon Street but, my first in the new building two doors down from the restaurant. All the rooms and lobby area are new and now have a 24hr hotel front desk. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to room 305 which is a connecting room suite complete with balcony, two bath rooms, sitting...

Stayed on the fourth floor in a block to the rear of the bar/ restaurant. The room was outdated with a 70's brown leather look but it was clean. Breakfast was basic but tasty. Good enough location for sukhumvit - close to BTS EKkamai (which is why I chose it). Wasn't too noisy though.

Needed a hotel near the Ekamai bus station at short notice, and were very pleased to find this on TripAdvisor. We'd asked for a quiet room, and, although our room faced the road, the noise was minimal. We had to leave before breakfast, so can't comment, but the menu for room service looked tasty and very reasonably priced. The bathroom...

Found this great place by accident. Was made to feel at home halfway around the world. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the ground floor. Wonderful made to order breakfast with some of the best sausage I've ever had! Great coffee and selection of papers from around the world. Want to watch a game on TV just ask. Very...

Firstly I would like to make it clear that my review only refers to the hotel side of this business, we did not eat in the Restaurant and therefore I cannot comment on it. After an almost 24 hr journey from our home in the UK my wife and I were looking forward to a shower and a meal in...

Staying in Thong Lor & Ekamai

Neighbourhood Profile
Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either. Expect a mix of savvy coffee shops, pop-up bars and loads of vintage stores, brought to you by hip locals with eyes for design.
