We are staying at the Cha-Da Hotel in Bangkok for 2nights. The location is great, the rooms aren't the best but it clean and that's all you need. But the thing that made our stay great was Tom the driver!! He is so friendly and...More
Firstly, the staff were very friendly upon arrival and recommended their in house taxi service. The WARNING is; don't use the taxi service. We took their word for it and used it to get to a cooking class. It's not metered and we were in...More
So this hotel is firstly a bit out of the way of central Bangkok and took some time to get from the airport to the hotel.
Upon arrival we were booked in promptly and shown to our room, when in the lift with the bell...More
I read so many negative reviews about Cha-Da Hotel and I am so glad they were proved wrong. We received 5 star service! Breakfast was great. It's close to the MRT, which is so easy to use... so we really enjoyed the hotels location.
No welcome on arrival. Made to carry own luggage up the stairs to lobby and to rooms. 5th floor very noisy.... doors banging and people talking loudly. Rooms are a bit dated and need revamping. Mould in bathrooms. No complementary tea or coffee provided. Breakfast...More

Yes, we walked around every night we were there. We went to 'The Street' shopping mall at night where you can find lots of places to eat and shop. It is quite westernised. You can reach it by coming out of the hotel, turning left and carrying straight on until you get to the overpass steps. Go over this and it will take you over the road to the shopping centre. We also y the metro at night and returned back quite late with no problem. You can reach this by turning right out of the hotel only a few hundred metres down the road. Enjoy!
