I have traveled to Bangkok many times and have stayed in different places. Padi Madi was a great choice. It was a good location, good price and nice people. The room is clean and safe. I was very happy with my choice. There are great options for food near by and shopping. If you want to travel anywhere, there are...

I got a room that smelled REALLY bad. There was a stench from the bathroom that you could smell through the whole room. Even after I checked out, when I arrived at my next hotel and took out my clothes, they still smelled. Disgusting! Other than that, the bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely decorated. The guy...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our Thailand holiday. We enjoyed our stay here very much despite a few minor issues: mouldy bathroom, spotty power, and noise. Pluses were nice fridge, nicely decorated, fantastic location, and sweet hosts. The hosts responded to our every request and were nice for chats and recommendations. Hospitality...

The hotel is very nice and clean with comfortable beds and in a good location near the BTS skytrain station. Wifi is free and fast. We had an initial hiccup with our room as on the website it was advertised as a "Standard Double" and the room we were taken to had a large single bed with one pillow and...

I stayed at this place for 6 nights, the rooms are extremely clean and look just like on their website. The showers are great even though there was a lot of mould in the bathroom and the room was therefore a bit smelly. Besides that all good though. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you go there by...

Arrived at 2.30am Monday morning at the airport (intelligently without the address) and called fred who answered and helped give the taxi driver the address. Arrived and settled in quickly and effiiently. Close to dental hospital, which is fantastically cheap compared to dental work in Australia.

I stayed in Padi Madi for 2 nights and am sure I will be going back the next time I visit Bangkok! During my previous 4 visits to Bangkok, I always stayed in hotels but find them expensive and because I rarely stay in my room, it just felt like a waste of money for such luxury - I frequently...

When we arrived in Bangkok we were delivered straight to the Padi Madi, about 10:30 PM. We had made reservations on-line. Nick, the owner, was there to greet us. The next morning he helped us get oriented and recommended a few places to eat, supplied us with sky-train info etc. His wife Nat was equally accommodating. There were many instances...

My partner and I stayed here for two nights (Feb 2011) and were very happy with our stay. The room was a good size, clean and had a comfy bed (rare in Thailand!) and powerful shower. The Thonglor neighbourhood is excellent - lots of cute cafes and shops (notable eats are the very delicious Soul Food and kitsch Baby Puff,...

I had a wonderful stay at Padi Madi's. The location is just excellent, the BTS station next to it doesn not only connect you with all of Bangkok, but even to the airport by the airport link train. My room was nice, clean and comfortable. Do not expect a very quiet place so close to Sukhumvit BTS though. The owners...

Neighbourhood Profile
Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either.
