Hard to find the location of hotek because it is situated at small lane. But the price is cheap with good security because the entrance door can open by room key. Apart from a soap no other bathroom accessories are provided. You can buy them at re ception desk or 7/11 stores. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is bread egg orange juice and coffee. There is local food market near the hotel. In overall it is good to stay at that hotel if you donot want to spend too much money.

Security: Security is good as the entrance door of this hotel can be opened using only the key which is in the form of a card. There are also CCTVs so I feel safe living there. Meal: Breakfast is not that good as everything is mostly rare to medium cooked. Only two eggs, two pieces of bread, tomato and a cup of orange juice. You can drink coffee or water, too. Location: It’s about 5 min walk to the sky train station. So, it’s quite easy to get to the city centre. It costs 24 baht to go there using the skytrain. There are lots of 7 eleven stores where you can buy anything near the hotel. Room: I love the room. It smells good. Room service is available. However, you will have to take your soap, shampoo and dryer as the soap from this hotel is too small. Reception:Receptionists are helpful and friendly. There is only one receptionist at a time so that you will have to come downstairs to ask what you want to know or what you want as there is no interconnected telephone line in this hotel. Overall, I would recommend a solo traveller , groups of friends or family to stay in this hotel. PS: The street near the train station is full with lots of commercial sexual workers at night time. So, if you’re traveling alone, you should be aware of this for your own safety.

The best. The Sunflower is a budget hotel area located in the busy Silom area and close to Patpong market. It is a 10 minute walk from both sky train and metro stations. Security is good with a strict ‘no visitor’ policy. Our room was spacious and clean, the air con worked well, no usable storage space so we lived out of suitcases. The daytime receptionist Charm was really helpful, offering helpful travel tips and warnings of overpricing scams. She is an absolute credit to the Sunflower. The worst. Breakfast was disastrous bordering on farce, next to the reception area is a small canteen style dining area with a serving hatch. On our first morning Option ‘A’ breakfast was advertised and consisted of two undercooked warm fried eggs, two hot dog sausages, four slices of tomato, two slices of white bread and an orange juice. Each diner must sign for this mediocre offering whilst being glared at by the three staff (why three?) who hide in the kitchen. After finishing you must return crockery and cutlery to specific trays. Our hopes were dashed that each morning only option A was offered. We would suggest eating out. If you want to stay in this busy part of Bangkok at a reasonable price the Sunflower is recommended.

We've stayed here 22 days. Great location, decent breakfast, great cleaning ladies, great air conditioning. A block from two great walking streets. Evening shift lady should be fired for the way she treats guests. Other staff are scared of her. She dishonors the hotel's reputation.

Super location, right beside soi 10 the best hawker food right around the corner, super quiet, very clean, great security on the windows,so convenient to BTS n MRT. Staff excellent, really helpful steering us to correct transport, told us to mrt to station then bus to dom airport, instead of bus from lumphini park, also taking BTS to national station , then river taxi $11 bht to golden mount, great suggestions, cheap and fun too. Two things they could improve upon, there’s nowhere comfy to just hangout n read, or not be in your room, which has no chair, not a big deal but omg the breakfast is inedible!!, honestly cold fried eggs n warm hotdogs is disgusting, I d give 5 stars if I didn’t have to rate the breakfast. We walked over to street food, coffee, fruit or even rice n veggies, then we d go back n have the toast. Really they should give a room rate without the meal, or if they want western traffic offer fresh fruits n coffee maybe some kinda bun. Anyway, clean, safe, convenient and excellent staff. It’s Bangkok a great big smelly city. I’d stay here again definitely..

It's close to both the Metro and the Skytrain which is very convenient. It is not a fancy hotel but for the price and convenience of location it is tough to beat and we stayed here again on a return to Bangkok. Loses marks for being in a noisy area and for very hard beds.

I've stayed in this place a few times over the past few years. I've always enjoyed its location (it's maybe a 10 minute walk from Sala Daeng BTS station, or Silom MRT station if you're up for a slightly longer walk). OK, it is in the middle of the Patpong area so accept or avoid that as you please. This is not a 5 star hotel, so what you're paying for is the room, security (good in my experience) and the service and not for any extras such as a swimming pool. Breakfast was included in my rate -- an innovation that wasn't possible a few years ago. At reception, staff provided me with two bottles of water to take up to my room; they also required a THB500 cash deposit which they refunded me when I left. The hotel has a strict non-smoking policy, so my suggestion is if you're a smoker, don't come here - even smoking on the balconies is prohibited. I only stayed for a night and on check out had to wait until staff had checked my room room before they then returned my THB500 deposit Even though the hotel issues breakfast vouchers, you actually have to walk a few doors down the street to access it in a brand new eating area -- I think the standard breakfast is self-serve toast and coffee; the staff served orange juice and a plate of two fried eggs, two small sausages and some sliced tomato. It was OK, although the 'free' breakfast seems to have come at the expense of a higher rate. I'm happy staying there though and will return again.

Sunflower house looks much nicer on the inside than from the outside. It's in a dark and dingy alley, but this is central Bangkok and even places like that are safe for walking any time of night. The rooms, are by no means luxury, but they are spacious, clean, and, safe. The bathroom is also roomy and clean. I would recommend Sunflower Place for anyone looking for an inexpensive place to sleep for the night in the Silom area.

have stayed here many times over the years, and its a basic place but its also very clean, and full credit to the cleaners. Its a short walk to the BTS and the Night Markets of Patong, and there is some nice food and coffee stalls down the lane (during the weekdays) I will stay here again on my next trip to Bangkok

In Bangkok downtown Silom, it is so convenient that that the hostel is close to BTS skytrain and subwaybin 5 mins walk. Although it is not the 5-stars which is what they have presented, it is nevertheless they offer good value for what you pay for. As a surprise, it comes with a bonus of free American breakfast ( drink, toast , eggs etc)
