Checked in for 3 nights at the Aloft and on my last day. I can confirm all the previous positive reviews. The room itself on the 22nd floor is extremely large, comfortable and welcoming. Bathrobes, slippers and fluffy towels, with the benefit of ‘bliss’ toiletries. It’s pleasing to see we are supplied with daily complementary glass recycled Bottled water. Super impressed that plastic variety is not used, excepting the mini bar.
The room, like the rest of the hotel is immaculate. The lovely lady, Aun aun, who serviced our room daily, always asked if it was clean and did we need anything else. Her genuine smile and sentiments appreciated The xyz bar sand the happy hour was good, offering cut price cocktails and drinks from 16:00 to 21:00. Breakfast was plentiful and offered different cuisines of high variety. All the staff at the hotel were a complete delight and offered generous and sincere hospitality.
Highly recommended.

I stayed at aloft Sukhumvit before and returned because I liked it a lot. The rooms on higher floors have a lovely view over the city (just make sure to ask for it, since at least one side of the building looks directly at another high rise), are spacious and set up nicely. Gym and pool are pretty nice. The location is also recommendable. Close to public transport, yet on one of the less crazy side streets on Sukhumvit.

Staff are extremely helpful, especially Aoff at the front desk, who was super nice and really helped any way he could to make my stay at aloft as perfect as possible.

Definitely would recommend.

I stayed for the first time at Aloft Bangkok, one of the last few remaining Marriott properties I had not tried in Bangkok before. My overall takeaway was that the standard room was quite nice as they got rid of the carpet, but for people who value suite upgrades it’s not a good fit because they only have 1 junior suite to upgrade to.

I arrived at 3pm and I was told that the junior suite was occupied by another guest who was leaving at 5pm and that I could get the suite at 7pm if I wanted as Bonvoy Ambassador Elite guest, to allow 2 hours for housekeeping to clean the room. In addition I was offered a standard room to use between 3-7pm which was a nice gesture and I took the offer.

The standard room exceeded my expectations to be honest, I had previously read about issues of humidity and a mold smell but there was none of that in my room. The rooms used to have carpet and removing it probably helped matters.

The junior suite looked a bit more aging simply because of the flooring and I did not like that aspect much. However for an Aloft brand hotel the bathroom was quite spacious and the room overall as well (60 sqm), almost double the entry level room 32 sqm. The suite also had a jacuzzi bathtub in addition to the stand-alone shower whereas the normal room only had the shower.

The restaurant for breakfast was an attractive venue with high ceilings and a table set-up not cramped at all. Not bad for the most inexpensive Bonvoy hotel in Bangkok when at the other end of the spectrum St.Regis squeezes guests together in a relatively unpleasant environment. The food was ok considering the price of Aloft; it’s clearly below the various Marriotts (Sukhumvit 57, Surawongse, and Marquis) but in my opinion it was adequate for Aloft.

Overall I thought Aloft was decent considering the price even if I had not received a suite upgrade. For people who don’t intend to spend a lot of time at the hotel and need a place to crash, Marriott’s budget option in Bangkok can be considered.

My boyfriend is American and I am Vietnamese and we have traveled to Bangkok many times.
And this is the second time we come back to this hotel and I always feel uncomfortable when interacting with the staff working in the hotel.
Maybe they think: I'm Asian or I'm Thai like them or I'm a working girl. So they don't need to care about customers like me.
And they just try to talk, communicate and get along with my boyfriend because he's a foreigner.
When we had breakfast here, all the staff, including the restaurant manager, also showed me an "up set" attitude and they never showed me a friendly attitude.
And they didn't want to ask me and need nothing when I sit there.
But for all foreign customers, the staff here will be happy to greet them, smile very friendly and try to bring good service.
We have traveled to over 24 countries and we are always in hotels that belong to the system of the world's leading hotel group Mariott.
But I have never felt uncomfortable and unfriendly like this hotel.
I may be Asian and I will never be respected like any other customer from foreigner or white peoples.

Stayed here for a few days in Jan 2020, hotels staff are so good, honestly could not fault them. Room was a really nice size with a decent sized bathroom. Wasn’t overly impressed with the gym but the pool area is nice and I like the fact there’s a “paddling pool” so kids can go in there without too much worry! Only thing I can really fault, was the air con in the room, it didn’t seem like it worked and the bedding almost felt damp? Other than that, we enjoyed our stay! The Mexican opposite is really good fresh food for a decent price and if looking for a massage, we went to graces (come out hotel and turn right and it’s less than a minute walk) we paid roughly £7 for a massage that lasted over an hour! Money well spent and brilliant staff! Would recommend if staying at this hotel!

Customer service all OK
Government should allow use of hotel facilities for customers at least! Probably one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard. Price was a complete rip off!

I am staying in hotel for 12 pound now with large room and large swimming pool! I was paying in aloft 72 pound for one night! Say room was worth 30 pound the food was 100 percent not worth 15 pounds for each meal!

I have now received my points from marriott for the 15 night stay and this doesn't even give me one free night in a cheap location in a cheap marriott hotel! You get this standard with hotels.com for 10 nights.

Will not be recommending this hotel.

Dear matthew888888, Thank you very much for your constructive feedback. We are glad to hear that our service provided was up to your expectation. We do understand your frustration on not being able to use the hotel’s facilities, however please note that these are the regulations that are in place by the department of Disease Control and the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration which the hotel will need to follow closely. Concerning to the price as the Alternative Quarantine package is a combination between hotel accommodation for 15 nights, full board meals for the entire stay and additionally, the package is also inclusive of services provided by a Third party which is the hospital, and these services include 3 times COVID-19 RT-PCR tests, 24 hours onsite nurse, doctor on demand and transportation from the airport. That is the reason the price is different than a regular stay. Once again thank you for your kind support to our hotel and should there be any further assistance you may need please feel free to reach out to me at isaraporn.klinmalai@aloft.com anytime. Best regards, Isaraporn Klinmalai (Ous) Rooms Division Manager

My son (20) and I stayed at Aloft at the beginning of our trip in early January and were so impressed with the level of service we received each day. We took advantage of the breakfast buffet each day and the selection was varied and the food was delicious. The wait staff constantly circled the restaurant picking up dirty dishes and offering coffee, etc... The front desk employees were an absolute joy -- big shout out to Benz and Im and everyone else we came into contact with. So courteous and genuinely helpful with all of our questions and requests. The rooms were clean, comfortable and we had a great view of the city. It was very central and within walking distance to shopping, food and nightlife.

There are staff in the front of the hotel that help you with taxis and haggle on your behalf for the best rates (cab drivers are supposed to use meters but none of the taxi's we rode in would use it. Drivers know they'll make more money charging tourists a flat fee).

We loved our stay at Aloft!

I am here right now. I thought I’d give Aloft another chance after taxi scam, but I was wrong. So many foreigners in the public areas without wearing masks! I tell the staff but nothing is done. They say sorry and walk off to get masks. By the time they return, the people have walked off or gone in the elevator. They should approach them immediately. Go ahead and ride in their small elevators with people not wearing masks and catch Covid!

At the restaurant, people are required to wear gloves when serving themselves. But no! They just carry the gloves and touch everything with their bare hands. Don’t believe me, just look at the photo.

I’m going to checkout immediately and do antigen test for the next several days. So if you want to catch Covid, go to the Aloft Bangkok.

P.S. This is suppose to be an approve alternate quarantine hotel, but they don’t follow or enforce established Covid safety protocols.

The Aloft is in the center of vibrant night life and eating options. I never wondered where I was going to eat while staying here. There are western options as well as a large amount of local Thai vendors scattered about and I found myself sometimes eating 4-5 meals a day.
The room is simple yet very comfortable. I especially love the large bathroom and countertop. The floor of the room features no carpet which I LOVE because one can never be certain about the cleanliness of rugs and carpets. The Aloft's ceramic floors made me feel comfortable walking around barefoot. I also liked the large desk that faces the widow for a spectacular view.
The pool is nice and I really like how it is open till 11pm for night swims. However, if you are wanting to work on your tan, the pool faces East and will only get direct sunlight until 12-1pm. Afternoons at the pool will be in the shade but for some, that's a good thing.
What I really liked is the staff. I would personally like to thank Puttinan and John for their stellar service. There was a slight reservation problem that I had made but they were very accommodating and fixed it even though it was due to my error. Puttinan and John even followed up making sure everything was to my liking even though, again, it was because of my mistake. Such service is what will ensure future stays at the Aloft whenever I need to travel to Bangkok.
Highly recommend.

If it wasn’t for the fantastic attitude of the staff I would rate this stay much lower.

Everyone from breakfast staff who really hustle to get everyone seated and sorted, to Nan the pool guy and Korn and the rest of the concierge team. The staff really do go the extra mile and it makes a huge difference.

This is not a quiet hotel. Both in terms of noise levels outside and darkness in the room for sleeping, it’s not the best.

As a vegan I didn’t feel like the breakfast was worth the cost as there are only a few hot options and no plant-based milks.

The rooftop pool (10th floor) is great but the wifi is not good once you are by the side of the pool. It really needs another access point. WiFi in the rooms was pretty quick and allowed me to do a video call.

Hotel location is downtown and there are a lot of bars and clubs nearby so it’s good if you like to feel like you’re in the middle of everything.

A high floor with a city view is a must.
