We rent an air con room on the 4th floor. No elevator :-( Room and Guesthouse is clean, but very basic. Not noisy, staff was helpful, location is good, close to Khaosan. Bathroom is new and clean. Beds are clean and comfy. View is great.

The hotel is already nothing special. It's not clean, uncomfortable, noisy and the rooms are hot and humid. But the brunette girl at the reception in the morning is the cherry on the cake. It just looks like you are disturbing here for been there. Never a good morning, never a thank you. Yesterday I bought a mango across the... More

It will do. It is not the cheapest, but not expensive and the rooms are clean and bathrooms nice. Don't expect anything other than your bed, sheets and towel though. WiFi- extra charge, toilet paper- extra charge, filtered water- you guessed it. They even charge 5 baht for using the toilet (although luckily guests are spared that charge). Staff are... More

Travelled with friends, then they didn't take reservations. They have various options. Rooms without 'air-cons' and shared bathrooms are cheaper. You'd have to take off your footwear and carry them to your room. That is, I believe, to maintain cleanliness. Internet is available in the lobby area for a reasonable price. The room and bathrooms are clean. Bed is comfortable.... More

If you need just a bed this one is a good choice. No thrills rooms, friendly staff, close to Khao San area. Besides being a B&B it is also a good choice to sit down on their verandah with friends and talk: cheap beers, no load music, quiet area – very different to all the other places on Soi Rambutri.... Good location in the backpacker area. Rooms are clear and clean, those that are facing the street can be a bit noisy but nothing too much. Staff is friendly although not all speak good English :-) there is also a small restaurant in this guesthouse, pancakes are particularly good !

I paid 250 Baht per night for a single room incl. a fan and a shared bathroom. It's a very basic room with nothing but a bed in it, but absolutely clean. A single room incl. a fan and private bathroom costs 280 Baht. You have 6 hours of free Wi-Fi per day and have to pay an additional 40... More

I've stayed at the Bella Bella House every summer since 2008. It is good value for money. Safe, clean & the staff are very nice. They have rooms with toilet & shower or with shared toilets & shower. The shared facilities are very clean & every floor has it's own toilet & showers. As a single mother travelling with my... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
