The room is on the smaller side, very few plug points to connect electronics or mobile chargers. The wardrobe is small and the number of shelves are less. The story is same with the bathroom - really tiny with very few areas to keep things - there is a bar below the sink level for keeping clothes, this can lead to the towels being wet during washing face etc. There is no grab bar above the level of the sink to keep towels or clothes. Only one hook is provided for clothes. No brush /paste/comb provided. I'm sure Ibis could have done a better job in these areas (storage, utility and facility). The bathroom and room are clean.
The breakfast menu has very limited options for vegetarians (bread, fruits, juice) and no Indian food is on the menu. I would suggest vegetarians to look for other hotels.

This was our first stay at this hotel. Normally we stay on the other side of the river in Silom but decided for a change of scenery and what a delightful hotel right on the river. Great swimming pool with views of the river and city. The rooms, although not huge, quite adequate with a great shower. Breakfast was varied, fresh and filling. The staff are what makes this place so good, friendly, helpful and always acknowledge you when you come and go. Big plus for this hotel - no Tuk Tuk drivers or taxi drivers hanging around outside trying to rip you off with stupid prices. If you install the Grab app very easy to get rides from here. Another plus is the numerous places to eat on the main street nearby and also the ease of crossing the river by ferry only 300 metres or so from the hotel. We will certainly revisit this hotel in the heart of Bangkok.

Quite happy with our stay here and found it was a great value for the money. Ibis, being a budget brand, we didn’t have that high of expectations but felt it was better quality in comparison to US budget hotels, such as Hampton inn and such. The location is great, right on the Chao Phraya River with scenic views, it’s walkable to Saphan Takshin Pier which easily takes you across the river and to the BTS that gives you access everywhere. Hotel could use a refresher and a bit dated, especially the rooms, but has a lovely pool with a park like setting. Recommend getting river view, worth the price. Lighting quite dim in the room and definitely insufficient in the bathroom. Family friendly. Good staff, always helpful and friendly.

I love this area of Bangkok and wanted to be right on the river. I have previously stayed at the Shanghai-La and the Hilton millennium which are both lovely but very expensive these days. Fortunately I had read about the ibis riverside as it gave me what I wanted - a great pool and location with basic but very clean rooms with a great price. The pool made the hotel. I was given a welcome cocktail as an Accor Platinum member and was asked if I wanted a late checkout. Otherwise I didn’t feel that I was treated especially well and the staff were quite average overall. The cleaning ladies were lovely and the most cheerful members of staff around. I booked a Riverview and was glad I had. The breakfast was great and they varied dishes over the 5 mornings I was there. The location is good if you are happy to use BTS skytrain by either walking or using their free shuttle. It is also a 15 minute walk to Iconsiam.
The room was basic but clean. The waters and teas were replaced everyday and room refreshed. The pool towels were always cleared up and replenished.
If you want to be in this area, it is a great value choice.

Traveled for a seminar and stayed 1 night The rooms are clean, the food is delicious, all the lovely staff ..the maid has been there for us since we arrived and waited for check-in.You raised your hands and said, "Hello, welcome reception."Listen and warm yourself like a special person. The hotel is very very bad, I do not recommend it at all and the staff are not cooperative, location is very far and the rooms are not clean, small, old and the bathrooms are the same. I do not recommend breakfast for Muslims because they do not have halal food. They shocked us when we arrived and we cancelled breakfast but they did not refund us. They told us first that the amount would be refunded and when our check out time approached they told us that the amount would not be refunded. I am doing a trip around Thailand, going back and forth to Bangkok so staying in different areas. I spent two nights on the riverfront to see this side. The IBIS is near a supermarket, shops and local restaurants. Nice location on the river. Big lobby area, pool and nice grounds. Rooms are spacious and big. Tea and coffee making facilities plus complimentary water, air conditioning, hot water, fridge and more. I didn't include breakfast. Staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean apart from carpets in the hallways which really need a hoover. As per most of Thailand, wifi is hit and miss. Miss mainly and quite slow at times. They have a room service menu which is silly as it stops at 22:00! With C-19, you need to put your card out if you want your room cleaned or they won't do it. My main issue is that public transport links are not great and I spent a lot on taxis. I want to be out and sightseeing and this was a lot easier downtown. I could walk all over or easily get public transport. There were also more coffee shops and restaurants downtown to go out at night. Here I was spending a fortune on taxis! Nice for 2 nights but not for me. If you want to relax and sit in the pool by the riverfront and be away from the noise then yes this is a good option.
