Loved this guest house the staff are always smiling and very helpful this was our resting spot to recover from our jet lag when arriving in Bangkok ! My favourite thing about the guest house is the movies they show 3 times a day it's so good to just chill and relax , whilst eating basically anything you want the...

My House had everything we needed, plus we only paid $400TBT per night for a fan room with a cold water shower. The room was clean, and it wasn't too hot, the fan is very powerful! The restaurant has good food at decent prices. They show movies in the lobby throughout the day and evening as well. This is a...

This is by far the cheapest guesthouse in the Khaosan rd area (although itself one street up from Khaosan rd). I've been coming here since 2011 and it's been my traditional 1st day of Asia on every trip I go with Bangkok as by base. Even then it was called "NEW". I dread to think what the OLD My house...

It does exactly what it says on the tin. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews! I've been to Bangkok a number of times an since I found this place with friends a few years ago we've all been back a number of times. The rooms are simple (Bed, toilet and shower, A.C if you want to spring for it)...

I have stayed here before. It is very basic and a quite unfriendly staff. Their travel company just rips you off and only cares for you if you spend money. I asked if they could call me a taxi and they refused to. Their prices are at least 100 baht more for the exact same trip with the street tourist...

Been traveling for a while now, and have stayed in various different types of hostels, hotels, home stays etc...the staff members are incredibly rude and unfriendly. They were really stingy with everything. Wouldn't recommend it, much nicer and cheaper places to stay. If your looking for a welcoming hotel don't stay here. They charge you if you loose the receipt...

This place is not so fancy like seating outside, colorful decorations, lightings but if you are concerned about cheap but best food with smiley hosts then go there. Food was awesome . We tried western and Thai food. I highly recommend it for vegetarians. Never tried the stay in guest house.

We stayed here 2 times during our 1 month backpacking. The rooms are little bit cheap but for the price we vould expect that. The first time we came here the staff was really nice but the second time there was different staff which asked money for everything. The wifi is good, there is airco and fan but the food...

If you are looking for a low cost hotel with friendly staff this is the place. The rooms are small but comfortable . The bathroom is so small that the toilet is next to the shower. It's walking distance to the market and a bunch of restaurant near the hotel.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

“Rooms that are on the front face might be more loud, and the ones at tthe far end of the 2nd floor are above the kitchen and tend to get very hot. But there is plenty of rooms available, if you don't like it just change to the next one!”
