There are lots of backpackers here for good reason: walking distance to everything. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Train reservations were made for me in minutes at the front desk that would have taken me hours to accomplish....More
We enjoyed the one night spent at this hostel. The people are friendly and welcoming, rooms are clean and tidy. Within walking distance to Khaosan Rd, yet in a quiet neighborhood. Breakfast was also great compared to what one usually gets in Thailand. All in...More

Friendly staff, very clean, little bit hard beds, but that's a Thai thing. 10 minutes walking from Khaosan road, near river where you can catch a boat, 5 minutes walk from standing Buda temple, 25 minutes from Wat Pho.

While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around
Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

I agree the ladies that work here are super sweet and friendly. The Thais know tourists are their livelihood and they would not bite off the hand that feeds them, I personally witnessed the Thai people almost ricksing their job to prove their innocence. Please do reconsider your whereabouts before, before accusing innocent people. Their place looked very secure with security gates and cctv. I recommend this place to experience an authentic Thai experience !
