I lived in Bangkok for two years and come back at least once a year. In Bangkok location of your hotel is key, which means the hotel should be close to a BTS station to get around easily. We always stay close to Asoke BTS station since there is so much to do in this area and there is also a MRT station connected to it. There are not too many hotels that are directly linked to a BTS station but the Solaria is and also connected to one of Bangkok‘s popular shopping malls „Terminal 21“. You get great value for your money. The rooms are big enough, clean, minimalistic but still chic. We will definitely come back but here are a few suggestions of things that should be changed or added: 1. I don’t eat breakfast but my husband does. We always go to breakfast together so I can have my coffee and he doesn’t eat breakfast alone. Unfortunately they don’t have a la carte coffee and they also don’t offer a price for just getting a filter coffee from the buffet. This should definitely be changed. 2. Offer water bottles or a water station in the Gym 3. Lotion in the bathroom

Strategic location with linkage to BTS Asok, Toto Brand Toilet WC with auto switch, Skyroof Pool Bar with stunning view of sunset and Sukhumvit road. Discount 40% for happy hours drink during 5 to 7pm. Pillows can be a bit soft for old people, anyway, can request extra pillows by scanning the app. Only the most irritating part is smoke detector keeps on blinking like fireflies.

It is very conveniently located attached to the Asok BTS and Sumhumvit metro station. These two stations are next to one another, separated only by a few escalators. This means there is direct access from these stations right into the hotel lobby. The hotel is only a 2 minute walk into Terminal 21 mall (which also has direct access from the Asok BTS). The hotel is in a great area, with plenty of things within walking distance. For locations more difficult to reach by BTS/metro (eg Khao San road) it’s very easy and cheap to book a taxi using the Grab app. Wonderful warm welcome from every member of staff we encountered throughout the entire duration of our stay. Comfortable and spacious room. Very cosy beds! Well equipped yet still modern and minimalist. There was no compromise between shower temperature and/or water pressure unlike other hotels in Thailand we have visited. We were situated on Floor 18 and found it to be very quiet, despite the hectic traffic on Sukhumvit road below is. Great soundproofing! Lovely to have a pool in a city-central hotel with such a nice view. We particularly enjoyed coming back from a hot day of sightseeing to relax in the pool for a short while. Whilst we enjoyed visiting the pool, one minor thing of note would be that the deckchair beds and side tables are situated in the water itself. Despite our best efforts at keeping our bags and the edges of towels dry, it was a little tricky to navigate in and out of the pool because of this setup. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Solaria Nishitetsu. Would very happily recommend and stay again!

My 2nd stay at the hotel. Solaria Hotel is conveniently located near the train station, which made exploring the city incredibly easy. The complimentary bottled water provided in the rooms was a thoughtful touch, and I appreciated the peaceful atmosphere that allowed for a restful night's sleep. However, I encountered a not so pleasant experience when the hotel failed to provide me with the three rooms I had booked on the same floor. This was disappointing as I had specifically requested this arrangement through Agoda chat. Overall, while the hotel offers convenience to the train station, complimentary amenities, and quiet rooms, the issue with room allocation detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay.

Room, bed and bathroom were all comfortable. We turned the chair and small side table to face the window where we would just sit, gaze out at the view and relax. Bathroom was comfortable in that two people could move around without issue. Toilet was a bidet with heated seat. Shower water heated quickly and pressure was good. Pool faces south so there's a lot of sun to warm the water. On the same level if you walk through the bar (which opens at 2 pm or 3 pm) there's a very nice open air seating area in the shade but is too far to access wifi. Gym was small accurate to publicity photos. Hotel restaurant for breakfast offered three main options (Japanese, Thai or Western) along with a small salad, fruit and bread selection buffet style. All choices were delicious. Lunch specials for 500 THB were available. Dinner menu was upscale Japanese. Food and service overall at the restaurant was fantastic. No onsite self serve laundry. Reception was very strict about guests not being allowed early check in before the 3 pm check in time. Ultimately lives up to Nishitetsu's Solaria premium branding. Location in Asoke with direct skywalk connection to the Asoke BTS station on the east side.

Our second stay at Solaria Bangkok due to its prime location and wonderful rooms! Conveniently linked to Asok BTS and Terminal 21 mall, short walk to Sukumvit MRT station. Nice Lobby with big bears that my toddler love so much! There's a 7-11 vending machine at the lobby which makes it so convenient if you need a snack/drink/cup noodles in the middle of the night.

(a) Easily accessible via BTS Asok station. (b) They have friendly staff who can speak Japanese too. (c) Concierge will assist you to direct your hired car to pick you up. (d) We were warmly received during check-in. Check-out was fast and efficent. (e) Our room was complementary upgraded from Grand Deluxe to Solaria Double Room. It was a nice gesture. The large room has ample of sunshine and good view of the vicinity nearby. It has two excellent TV with screen mirroring option, YouTube and Netflix. The bed is very comfortable. Good air-conditioning. However, we do suggest a double layering of pillow case. The length of the duvet is surprisingly too short and not large enough. So when you pull the duvet to cover your shoulders, there is the tendency for your feets to become exposed. So we need to re-position our body to hide our feets. It is unable to keep the sleeper warm properly. It provides a large Swissman water kettle. It has a reliable Tefal iron, but it comes with a flimsy ironing board that cannot withstand it's weight. So we have to put the iron on the table instead. Solaria can also do more by providing the proper basic toothepaste. eg. Colgate instead of a generic no-brand. (f) The breakfast area is a dainty, small Japanese restaurant. So we understand that it cannot fit in an International Buffet style. The food tastes good and was presented to us nicely in a set. But it can improve with giving the customer the chance to choose a couple of the set menu, instead of being restricted to just one set. (g) The swimming is good enough to fit in some 6-8 patrons at any one time. We hope the hotel can improvise the pointers i have highlighted above. Thank you.

An excellent 4-star hotel with unbeatable location. Guests can exit the hotel directly to Asok BTS station, Sukhumvit MTR station and Terminal 21 Mall. Hotel staff is polite and helpful. Rooms are pretty new as the hotel is only about 3 years old. Breakfast at the Japanese restaurant Umenohana is comfortable and good value. You can choose from Japanese, Western, Thai or Vegetarian sets and enjoy the salad and fruits buffet. However, be prepared to wait a littel for your food at peak hour breakfast time. There is a small gym with 3 treadmill machines, 1 cross trainer machine and 2 other workout machinese; enough to get some exercise. As the gym is on the 27th floor, it provides a great view. Highly recommended if one is looking for a conveniently located 4 star hotel in Bangkok that is well connected to BTS and MRT stations.
