I've stayed here a few times and whilst I thought the rude reception staff and noise were an acceptable feature for its location I was dismayed not to be given the double bed that I had booked and paid for. Instead on arrival they insisted I have a single bed. The reception staff kept shouting no refund as any payment...

Staff was apathetic and slightly rude at best Possibly in the noisiest spot in all of khao San. Two clubs blasting music as loud as they possibly can until 4am right across the street. Noises than burning man Room was clean but unbelievably small. Expensive F this place.

If you would prefer a bit of noisy Thailand, this hotel would surely fit your need. Khaosan road is always soooo busy at night time with lots of street food shops and other street activities. It would be really noisy when you want to enjoy your sleep after a long day walking. My rooms are a bit too small.

Excellent hotel if your a backpacker/ traveler wanting to spend your time on the famous Khao San Road! Not so great if you're a family/ couple looking for a quiet place to admire the history of Bangkok. A great position right in the backpacker hotspot, which is ideal if you like to get out amongst it and party. Not so great if you planned on an early night to make the early train the following morning. Getting to sleep early wasn't a problem but the late night revellers arriving home woke everyone without earplugs. We were also...

If you want a god location on Khao San road this place is where you should stay. It is literally in the middle of the party but is well-run and secure. The rooms were good and comfortable, good AC and cleaned daily. The bathrooms weren't quite up to a great standard but this doesn't really matter too much when you've...

Absolutely awful. Filthy, saw so so many rats (massive) in this hotel. I also have bed bug bites all up my legs. Room was gross, mould on the ceiling and smelt of drain. Reception stank too. Horrendously rude staff, one guy sat staring at his facebook whilst I was talking to him. So noisy the room literally shakes, no earplugs...

I booked this hotel for 3 nights as a good starting place for our trip to Thailand. It was my wifes first trip and I thought a good central location with plenty to see and do. Easy to get to from the airport and ideal for our 3 day stop over in Bangkok. While the room was adequate and clean...

We stayed here a couple nights after visiting Phuket. Great location and Khoasan road is the happening place !! It was a pleasant place and good price. I would stay here again. Breakfast was included, but wasn't that much of a meal. They were very nice to hold our bags and let us come back from them after we had...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
