Nice hotel, it delivers what it promises, staff are friendly and helpful, conveniently situated at 10 minutes walk from kao san rd. but in a much nicer and quiter area. The breakfast was amazing!! Thanks to desk clerk we learned the best way to move around... By regular city bus. 100% recommended and I will be back!

10minute walk from Kao San road, which wasn't too bad in all honesty. The room was a substantial size but as other reviews said the beds are very hard!! The bathroom was okay but not the greatest, would say to stay here for a couple of nights for a stop over but don't over stay it

Positive: Relatively new and solid construction. Quiet side road. Very large room. Negative: Rude owner. No hot water. We enquired around 8pm. We were offered the last room, which was huge, had TV, AC, but no hot water, which was odd and was kept secret until we had paid. Price was 650 bt, average for this category. Stayed only 1...

We stayed here so many times when we were in Bangkok, location is excellent, the room upstairs in main building is good, bathroom needs TLC, but we had enough hot water, air con works, wifi is good, they speak English, cannot complain. Ask them get a taxi if you need one, you won't get ripped in that way. Make sure...

Every year I come to Bangkok and I don't want to change Hotel. The people are so nice that it is the best medecine you can get. Rooms are OK, spacious, good A/C, mini bar with normal local prices. Fruit juices are super at the bar downstairs.(Pineapple+mango!! Yum!) The location is great! Not far from most sight seeing stuff and...

We have regularly chosen The Rajata when we are in the Bangamphu area. It is basic no-frills accommodation with en-suite, generously sized rooms, friendly and efficient staff, air con, quiet. Good location. (Next to our favourite massage spot). Mattresses are on the hard side. Our main gripe, but overall great value for money @ 900baht per night (2 people).

The hotel is in a good location, has aircondition and a bottle of water per person, but that's pretty much it. The photos we saw didn't really match what we found. No mosquito nets on all windows, no daylight in room (particularly awful when bound to the room with diarrhea). Staff was not quite helpful: When asking, they didn't even...

First of all, before i book this hotel, me and my husband checked photos and it looked okay on photos. But when i entered the room, i realized that they did a great job with photoshop. By the way, for example if you want to stay 4 night, you ave to pay all, otherwise they keep your passport which i...

Hotel reminds me of a motel, cars drive into a court yard where there are ground level units and each upper level has an outdoor hallway. Rooms are a good size with closet and drawers. On top of closet the self had a thick layer of dust and dirt balls, big mistake putting my suitcase on top. Walls look scruffy...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
