I visited The Siam for three nights staying in a totally unique pool room. The service was incredible with a personal butler available to help with anything which I needed. The pool room was sensational with a courtyard which had its own pool and jacuzzi-wow! There was also a spiral staircase up to my own sun terrace. The room was...

Recently spent 5 nights in this truly magnificent hotel, in Bangkok. Without doubt this hotel, with its high standards and truly amazing staff deserves nothing other than ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️'s. Set further up the river away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, you really do feel like you are in a retreat, where you can literally feel your body relax and...

Really cool place with a lovely vintage feel and large rooms. The staff is extremely helpful. Great water taxi service from the hotel. Restraunt is great for the included breakfast but go elsewhere for dinner. Don't order a shrimp dish. The entire city of Bangkok is super stingy on shrimp and the place here is no exception. Also we don't...

The sheer elegance and charm of this uber high-end hotel give you the sense you are living in a dream of a courtly palace. The architecture and design are imaginative and amazingly beautiful. Fabulous objects of art and antiques provide visual and intellectual beauty at every turn. You don't walk around the courts, tiers, and walkways so much as flow...

The Siam takes luxury to a new level with its over-the-top design and art deco bygone-era chic. Yet the hotel is subtle in execution where it needs to be - intimate lantern lighting on the private boat landing dock which creates a romantic quiet mood in the evening, and warm, friendly service in the hotel restaurant. Our Pool Villa Riverview...

I've been to Bangkok over half a dozen times. Stayed at the Peninsula, St. Regis, Mandarin Oriental, etc etc. I sell luxury travel as a business, so I understand what makes a 'good' hotel. The Siam is beyond good - it's great - and I'd say that (arguably) it is the world's best urban oasis. It's not just the hard...

My husband and I spent three nights at the Siam hotel recently. What a fantastic property along the Chao Phraya River! The Siam has provided a luxury retreat in Bangkok, as they have thought of every item to make a visit to Thailand complete. From the accommodations that feature local artifacts, a pool in the courtyard and spacious bathroom, along...

The rooms and facilities are beautiful. The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful. Food is delicious and fresh. The location is quite tricky but if you can, take the boat shuttle, it's normally a lot faster than a car. I recommend this place for anyone.

Staying in Dusit

Neighbourhood Profile
Dusit
When wandering around the Dusit Palace grounds, you'd almost forget you're still in a Southeast-Asian city. The Renaissance-style buildings and leafy gardens wouldn't be out of place in an European capital, and the serenity here is in stark contrast with the chaotic city life outside of its complex walls. Dusit is one of Bangkok's oldest districts, and while the rest of Bangkok is modernising at a rapid pace, Dusit seems to have stood the test of time. Come here to find family businesses in traditional shophouses, small-scale local markets and streets unfazed by modern city life.
