This is the perfect model of a travellers' hostel. Beautifully decorated and fitted out; even the fish tank is well looked after; the attention to detail is obvious. I love this place and will definitely go back. Really well thought out cosy door 'room' with privacy curtain, lighting, lockable storage and more. Didn't get five stars as they didn't change...

Cosy place in such a big and busy city! The dorm is cool, clean and quiet. The showers and the breakfast are great! The staff is friendly and helpfull!! And last but not least, the common room is perfect to hang around and meet other travellers! GO :)

Suneta is a good hostel for backpackers, close to Khaosan road. My four bed room was great, clean and cozy. Can really reccommend for travelers in their twenties who are spending a few days in Bangkok. The included breakfast is the best I've had for a hostel in this pricerange.

Easily the best hostel I've been to worldwide. Very clean, friendly, well equipped and social atmosphere. Location was ideal for nipping out for some decent (& cheap) food, drinks and partying. Overall I'd recommend to anyone and would stay here again for sure.

I've spent two nights at one of the 16-bed dorms and really enjoyed my time. The sanitary facilities as well as the dorms are nothing special, but clean and in good condition. I was travelling on my own but I immediately met other guests and found some temporary travel buddies as well. The staff girls are also very friendly and...

My first time in Bangkok and this was the hostel we selected. The good reviews are all accurate. It is in a very popular location for tourists, night life and restaurants... but still quiet once you enter. Walking distance to Grand palace, Wat po and cheap ferry to Wat arun. Easy to catch taxi or tuk tuk down stairs and...

Located just 2 streets away from khaosan road which was perfect for us- close to the chaos but far enough away to get a decent nights sleep. Shabby sheek seemed to be the theme of the hostel. Really helpful reception staff and can book tours for you etc. The common area located in reception was nice. Few sofas to chill...

I stayed here for 5 nights. It is in great location one street away from Khao San Road. You get also free breakfast in price and drinks&little snacks through all day. When i come back to BKK i will probably go back here.

I eas in a mixed dorm with 16 beds. The bed is tidy. but it is a bit dark inside . Although the room contains 16 beds. It is pleasant enough because it is quiet and facilities like shared toilets and bathrooms are clean. The hostel is located near Khaosarn road, but in tranquil atmosphere. I couldnt find it at...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
