Three of my friends and I stayed her for 3 nights in a 6 bed dorm. The dorm was quite small and tight for space but the air conditioning was great. The bathrooms were clean and there was a nice common area with the option to make tea and coffee or watch a movie. Located right beside khaosan road if...

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room and toilet were all good. Free wifi and internet.. This hostel is above a bank which was handy for currency exchange. Location wise its only a 5 min walk from Khao san road, plenty of places to eat and shop right outside.

The hostels free breakfast was basic but a Financial life saver for a solo traveler! Free bottles water station was also very helpful and did not get anywhere else! The communal area was welcoming with a kitchen, tables, sofas, TV and a selection of up to date DVD's. The bedroom were cosy but safe, I stayed in a female form...

Suneta is a very nice and relaxing place to stay, after a long flight or before leaving back home again. The japanese style buncks are brilliant!! You have your own tv and you can get films for free at the reception. You can lock your bunck, so you can leave al your stuff safely when going into town. Staff is...

Standard rooms were great, you get a curtain around the bed and a locker with a key. Bathrooms were always clean. Breakfast is basic but good and free. Great staff who are really helpful. The social area is quite small but adequate. Location is great, a short walk to Khaosan.

I was hideously sick during my week in Thailand, but felt really comfortable and at-home staying at Suneta. The staff were all lovely, and let me watch as many movies as I wanted on the TV in the communal area (nice selection of movies, btw). Communal toilets and showers were cleaned every day. Nice simple free breakfasts provided each morning....

We stayed there for two nights in early April just at the time of the Songkran festival. For this the location was perfect. It's just one or two streets away from the crazy hotspots but still quiet and relaxing during the night, except all the processions in the streets in the mornings at Songkran. We had the double bed private...

As others explained, it is near wild Khaosan road but enough off of it for quiet. Basic amenities, relatively clean. Only 4 stars because I personally did not find it that social but that could also be the time of year or days I stayed. Staff is extemely helpful for setting up tours and giving advice. This is a safe...

This place is the best, it is clean, the staff are friendly and welcoming and also very helpful! You pay a tiny bit more than average, but you get such good value for money. This hostel is in a fantastic location next to khoasan road but away from the noise! The beds are comfortable and very well built by the...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
