The hotel is about 3 streets away from Khao San road and takes about a 5 minute walk. The dorms are really spacious and you have your own privacy as they provide curtains around the bed. The bed is really comfy and you're provided with a blanket (sometimes can get quite cold with air con and fans in the night)....

A definite plus of the hostel is the location. You're a 5 minute walk to Khaosan without being in the middle of the noise and madness. The hostel was very quiet at night, great AC in our 4-person room, comfortable beds. However it is a shame that the second floor bathrooms are not air conditioned. Not pleasant in Bangkok in...

The place itself is a little bit old, but I was drawn to the wooden design, the breakfast they offered, and location from Khaosan. The staffs are very friendly, helpful, funny, and nice! I love them! :) I like how they offer breakfast too, because that's one of the time where you can meet another traveler and fill your hunger....

Suneta was one of my favorites hostels while visiting Thailand. The location is perfect because is near Kaosan Rd but not quite in the middle of all the craziness. Everything was really clean, staff was helpfull, and the overall vibe was great!

This hostel is located just a couple minutes walk from the center of Khaosan. It is very clean, well maintained and the reception can help with anything pretty much. I also took a tour to Ayutthaya from this hostel and it was good. The common room is very cozy and you can pretty much socialize with everyone easily due to...

Stayed here with 3 friends in a 6 bed female dorm. The dorm had very powerful air conditioning and good lockers for valuables. The downside to the room was the size of it, it was very small for 6 people. The showers & bathrooms were clean. Staff were friendly. The hostel has a nice common area with a TV and...

This was my frist hostel on my four months of travelling in South-east Asia. And it felt like my second home every time I came back here for a transfer to another country or in Thailand itself (Bangkok really was a transport hub for me). Maybe because its so luxurys for a hostel and feels very western, but also because...

Three of my friends and I stayed her for 3 nights in a 6 bed dorm. The dorm was quite small and tight for space but the air conditioning was great. The bathrooms were clean and there was a nice common area with the option to make tea and coffee or watch a movie. Located right beside khaosan road if...

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room and toilet were all good. Free wifi and internet.. This hostel is above a bank which was handy for currency exchange. Location wise its only a 5 min walk from Khao san road, plenty of places to eat and shop right outside.

The hostels free breakfast was basic but a Financial life saver for a solo traveler! Free bottles water station was also very helpful and did not get anywhere else! The communal area was welcoming with a kitchen, tables, sofas, TV and a selection of up to date DVD's. The bedroom were cosy but safe, I stayed in a female form...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
