This is a fairly average hotel. Good location in Bangkok district of Sukhumvit and right next door to the Hilton doubletree your close to the train line and malls.

Very nice and safe area to stay in, our room was nice and clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The only complaint that I have is the bed was very hard. Other then that the A.C. worked really well and there is...More
The hotel was impeccable. The room, beautiful. Gorgeous wood floors and accents. Crisp, white sheets. A/C worked well. Orchids everywhere. Snacks in the room.
The breakfast the following day was spectacular with both American and Thai options.
We had an amazing time!
Hotel St. James is well maintained through out the building and rooms. Staff are friendly and hospitable.

With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's
hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
