We have stayed at the Dusit many times over the past 10 years. Always book a Club Room. This is a larger hotel with a wonderful Thai ambiance. All the staff we encounter during each stay are exceptionally gracious and helpful. One of the aspects that truly differentiates this hotel is the design, and abundance of space. It's location is...

I stayed for 2 nights in September 2013 and it was great. Several restaurants all serving excellent food, great spread for breakfast. The room service was great too. The spa is divine, very tranquil and they gave me a discount to upgrade from a 90 min treatment to a 2 hour treatment. I stayed in an Executive Suite which was...

you should be ready for outdated rooms, more than outdated bathroom with very oldish utilities, looking not at at all in good shape, not even clean enough, you should count with the fact that the windows do not stop the noise from the various main roads around as well as being happy with noisy air conditioning. The hotel was 5...

this was apparently the first luxury hotel in Bangkok. There is a display board showing all the celebrities and royalty who have stayed. There is now a butler service for VIP guests. So the hotel has managed to keep up with the times and the competition, and maintain its standards. over the years, the hotel must have had many extensions...

We arrived mid morning and the hotel were great and accommodated us, which did include an upgrade. The hotel seems to be popular with both business travellers and tourists. Excellent lobby and common areas. Great service. Rooms somewhat outdated and disappointing. Got stuck with a smoking room but only because last left and was transferred from crowne plaza, so not this hotels fault. Not a bad place but I think there are better hotels for better values. Just came back from a business trip in Bangkok staying at Dusit Thani. Hotel is excellent, everything you'd want, great gym, excellent restaurants (especially Hamilton Steakhouse). Great location, close to Skytrain station, 2 stops away from Siam shopping district. Service is excellent, rooms are good size and have everything you need.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
