Stayed at this hotel in September. The Lobby is impressive and the restaurants are really good. But Elevators were not working properly. Rooms also had a dated look. The pillow was big and thick. I had a pain in the neck in morning. The breakfast was good. The staff attentive, but without smile on face (Unlike Thais).

+ Clean rooms and big beds. Close to center. Right next to one of the most popular streets. Breakfast is good. Good piano player in the lobby. - Almost no one speaks English. Wifi is paid. The TV doesn't have almost any English speaking channels except Fashion TV. And may be no one warns you but they take 100$ cash...

The hotel is at least 50 years old and almost no maintenance to the hotel. I was eating lunch in one of the restaurants in the hotel and I spotted a "cockroach" in their cake shelf. That really ruined my day.

The hotel itself is a nice enough hotel but definitely not 4* worthy. The rooms are dated, absolutely stink of smoke and tobacco and the bedsheets stained with blood and filthy, forget the towels which were also dirty. I got to the hotel in the evening just as a stop over before catching my flight so didn't bother to complain...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
