So was a little apprehensive on staying what was originally a hostel. However, was pleasntly surprised by the property. Room was functional and had all the essentials, housekeeping was a little spotty in terms of getting all the corners and some fittings were showing their age - worst part however was the corridor which seemed to have a strange odor....

Even for Thailand the staff here are incredible. Nice and patient and helpful. Easily accommodated a 3am check-in. Helpful tips. Printed off boarding passes. Gym is great lovely machines english language movies on the treadmills, cool towels and protein snacks. A hot tub and steam room connected to the gym no requirement to get a spa treatment to use them....

We were received with the warmest Thai hospitality welcome. We did not even have to walk up to the counter. They had us sit and they came to us with all paperwork. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The only thing I did not like were the pillows. They were not firm. We opted for room service several times and...

Loved: The style, the large room, the incredible bathroom and toiletries, the pool area, the breakfast. Not so great: The location, it's not walk-able to anywhere other than the Banyan Tree next door, so no spas, no restaurants close by, nothing you would expect to find staying in Bangkok, it's a business district area. The pool has an odd access,...

We stayed a weekend in the Como Metropolitan hotel and it was exceptional. The hotel is just of the road in a quiet place and is a real small oasis. The facilities are what you would expect of a true 5-star hotel. We especially liked the pool , spa and the massage therapy was one of the best we had....

My home away from home when in bangkok. Have stayed here many times now, and keep coming back. What really stands out here is the staff and their level of service. Simply exceptional. Add to that cool, contemporary rooms and a fabulous pool area, a great place to unwind after a long day (or night) in the bangkok heat.

I stayed at this hotel because of the location. It was not too far from the US embassy. The hotel was nice and hotel staffs was friendly and helpful. The only complain that I have is the bed was not really comfortable. I have a quite high expectation for 4-5 stars hotel.

Great hotel and good value for money. Stylish and chic after all these years despite not being completely new any more. Have been many times and have also stayed at the St Regis and Sukhothai which are also both excellent. Large rooms (metropolitan room) with great king size bed, big bathroom with walk-in shower and bath and seating area. Air...

It was a pleasant stay at the COMO Met Hotel. Not to mention they have the award-winning Nahm Restaurant on their grounds to boot. The check-in was swift and staffs were very hospitable and helpful. Well, what can you expect in this part of the world? Asian hospitality at its best. The room I booked was huge and well appointed....

The Met is an exceptional hotel -- huge and comfortable rooms, endlessly patient concierges and outstanding, innovative food. Throw in excellent yoga classes every morning and a pool perfect for swimming laps and its hard to find any shortcomings. It has an enormous and well equipped gym above the usual standard. My only gripe is that after all that exercise...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
