I visited BKK in May 2018 and stayed in COMO Metropolitan for 6 days.
From the arrival until departure everything was perfect E2E. Great experience, nice food, extremely kind, engaged and helpful employees at the front desk and very comfortable beds.

I've stayed at this wonderful hotel on about 6 different occasions. The vibe is low key understated luxury. It feels like an oasis of calm in what is a pretty frenetic and fast paced city. Hotel runs like an extremely well machine. On our last...More

I think the hotel is beautiful and modern, I love the decor and design but I just think there are certain things holding it back from being five star. The rooms are slightly outdated and a bit basic the positioning of the television in our...More
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the
area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.

I would agree with others and say no. It is in a business area and the neighborhood will be deserted. Think carefully about whether you wish to be in Thailand for Songkran - it's the hottest time of the year and a lot of places close. Many expats leave specifically to avoid it. There's only so much flour and water you want sprayed at you... If you want to be part of the festivities, maybe try a touristy part of town. Otherwise pick a different time of year to visit.

The staff are friendly but not considerate. My experience was if you want a tuk tuk, they helped you to find one. But they would not care if the price was reasonable or not. Maybe they think all their guests are very rich.
