The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard. The staff went above and beyond to assist us during our stay at reception, security and concierge. Special mention to Bee on the reception, and Joe on concierge desk, the teams not only giving us a fantastic upgrade to a king suite overlooking lumpini park, helped with our tour planning but also a surprise birthday gift and cake in the room. This time our pre-booked, pre-paid (through EXPEDIA) was heading for excellent in all areas, BUT… Knowing that our final check-out was a formality we had not allowed much time to return the key card, and our airport transport was waiting in the ground floor. At check-out we were presented with a bill for the entire stay asking us to just sign it. Just a formality?! But it transpired that the credit card used to cover any incidental expenses (of which there was none) had already been charged for the entire stay AGAIN!! And NO AUTHORISATION had been given for this. Several staff became involved when we queried the transaction and insisted that the payment was due and we should pay by card (AGAIN!). Eventually it was admitted by the check out clerk that all accommodation costs had been prepaid BUT the full amount had been taken again PRIOR TO CHECK OUT and with NO AUTHORISATION. We are now told that it may take up to a month for the hotel to refund the fraudulent DOUBLE CHARGES. An apology and some “club points” (which we would probably never use) were offered. In the circumstances this was insulting and derisory. In conclusion we were robbed and little effort is being made to remedy the situation still! ALL - BEWARE OF ALLOWING YOUR CREDIT CARDS TO BE COPIED “AS A FORMALITY” TO COVER INCIDENTAL CHARGES. This is s disgrace for a 5 star hotel, part of a predictions group!…

I recently stayed in crown plaza lumpini park bangkok 14-17 July 2023 which was booked through and paid for in advance via Expedia. When I checked in, the hotel reception asked for my credit card for an incidental charges eg mini bar. When it came to check out they asked if I had any incidental charges eg mini bar and I informed them that I did not. They then produced a bill for the three nights accommodation for me to sign. I was in a rush to get a taxi to the airport and was about to sign it without further question when I realised that I might have paid for the hotel in advance. Reception checked on this and they said the hotel had not been paid for so I would need to settle the bill before leaving. I thought this was odd so checked through my files and discovered that I had already paid Expedia for the room. The hotel reception manager said that according to their booking, they had not received payment and I would need to pay the bill. I then showed them the Expedia confirmation of the payment and they said only the first night of three had been paid. I then showed them the confirmation again which showed I had paid all three nights in advance. They then had to ring multiple departments who confirmed that I was correct and had paid all three nights. As I was leaving reception I saw a receipt for for 26,000 Thai baht (around £500) and queried this as I had not signed the bill. They told me the charge had already been taken from the credit card I left on the first day! I explained that this was not an incidental and they assured me that the charge would be cancelled so would not come off my credit card. I was rushing for the taxi so didn’t have Time to Check that they would remove the charge. I checked my credit card statement a few days later and the circa £500 has been taken from my credit card without my authority. I’ve therefore been charged twice for the same hotel stay (once by Expedia and once by crowne plaza). I now have the hassle of trying to get refunds, contacting me credit card company regarding fraud etc. we all can make mistakes but when the error (being charged twice) ) is highlighted you shouldn’t expect to have to resolve the problem over again.…

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. They made our stay more enjoyable, The hotel’s location close to Lumpini Park is excellent. It is near both the sky train and subway which makes getting around Bangkok easier. It is also a short walk to Silom restaurants and bars. Our room was fairly large, overlooking the street, and very comfortable. There was no noise. The air conditioner in our room was a minor issue as it, from what we could tell, would reset itself every time we put the power on in the room when we re-entered. This meant we had to reset it. When we return to Bangkok in the future we will stay at the Crown Plaza.

Great location - so close to the hustle and bustle of Silom and yet nicely tucked away to give you some peace and comfort. The hotel looks newly refurbished though the bathroom still looks tired and no air circulation in the bathroom. Also, the pool bar app is not the most user-friendly.

Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Bangkok. I stayed with them for three nights and felt really glad that I chose them. The first thing about this property is its location - right in the heart of Silom. You're surrounded by all sorts of restaurants, branded shops, quality cafes, Silom Edge and what not. The front desk is located on 23rd floor with a very helping and cooperative staff and a special dedicated Japanese desk to cater to the needs of Japanese tourists. I'd like to mention Ms. Patti who helped me design the local sightseeing tour and guided us on how to catch a ferry for a short ride over Chao Praya River. I was equally impressed by the room. It was all so spacious and comfortable with an extraordinary view of Bangkok skyscrapers! The restaurant serves a grand breakfast buffet with options ranging from American breakfast to traditional Thai breakfast and Japanese breakfast. They also arranged a private tour for me to Ayutthaya which became another highlight of my trip. Overall, it was an overwhelming experience for me and of course, I'd be staying with them whenever I happen to visit Bangkok. A big shout out to all the staff for maintaining such a high standard of hospitality. Stood there just to link to Huahin after arriving very late on Airport. The hotel is - after covid-19 - very well refurbished, they used the time to renovate and modernise very well. So also my room was top. Service was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. I also liked the little bar of the hotel outside near entrance.

It’s been a couple of years since my last visit to the BKK Crowne Plaza and once again the staff not only made me feel welcome but ensured I had a very comfortable stay. I had forgotten that I had booked a club level room and was really surprised to find out that I was upgraded to one of their Club suites with a separate bedroom. It was not only huge but well furnished. The large jacuzzi tub was a much needed treats after a few flights. The breakfast offerings in the Lounge were extensive and very good - fresh guava juice being my favorite. It’s the little details that were impressive like the many unique jams: pomelo lime. Who knew. Lol. The evening canapés were also very good and filling. Although I enjoy the Silom area and appreciate the many restaurants. I’d also like to highlight one particular CP team member, Emily in the Club Lounge. This young lady is a very professional and proactive IHG representative. The Crowne Plaza Lumpini Park such a fantastic addition to Bangkok. It is absolutely gorgeous.
