I stayed in the Athenee Prestige Room, a corner room on the 12th floor, for one night from Sunday, January 7th.

However, the hotel prides itself on being a luxury hotel, so it is important to treat it accordingly. From the soaring entrance to the stunning pool, I thoroughly enjoyed my seven-day stay here. The location is prime, just a block from the Central Embassy and Central department stores. It is set in the middle of tens of embassies, including the US Embassy. I asked my cousin, a Bangkok local, the most desirable neighborhood in Bangkok and she told me it was this one. While I was there, the hotel hosted corporate conferences by Rolex and the United Nations, as well as photo shoots.
The breakfast buffet is probably the best I've ever experienced, outside of Las Vegas. The rooms are well maintained and kept immaculately. I discovered Byredo toiletries a few weeks earlier in my Tokyo hotel, and enjoyed them here as well. The Club rooms are well worth it, as they include breakfast and access to the lounge, as well as two items of laundry per day.
The Athenee also has employees stationed inside BKK airport to assist their guests. Once we were dropped off by the hotel limo, we were met by another hotel employee who took over our luggage cart, allowing me to push my mother's wheelchair. He was a godsend, directing me to the VAT refund desk, helping translate with the airline check-in agent, and helping me drop off the wheelchair at oversized luggage.
I have to note how outstanding the staff members are. They are so gracious. The door staff especially, but almost every single staff member I came across, which is rare. This hotel will make it difficult to go back to your regular life, which is a good problem to have!

The staff are brilliant and helpful. The pool was terrific and the pool staff outstanding. This hotel is called "luxury" but we couldn't see anything luxurious about it, tired old rooms with very bad lighting. Eggs were already prepared for breakfast in the restaurant, they were rubbery; we ordered the omlette which took about 1/2 hour to arrive. For the price, it wasn't value

Everything about this hotel is exceptional - the staff, breakfast, location and the room! We stayed here for three nights to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Pansa, from housekeeping decorated our bed and there was a cake and fruit in our room. Pansa also took great care of us over the three nights, kept the room spotless, and even brought us flowers!
We had breakfast every morning at the main restaurant and it was excellent. They offer foods from around the world, homemade egg dishes and freshly squeezed breakfast juices. The woman who made the juice was very sweet and gave me a different one to try each morning. This was the best breakfast buffet during our 14-day Thailand stay.
The concierge staff were helpful with getting taxis, directions and negotiating with a tuk tuk driver. I also had a massage at the spa where I was greeted by a lovely woman at the front. Suzie gave me a great massage and the experience was completely relaxing. Finally, the location is close to the train, has many shops, restaurants and cafes nearby. We had a wonderful experience and will be staying here on our next visit to Bangkok!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The service was outstanding with receptionists who are so kind and friendly and ready to assist with your every need. One even remembered me by name for my short stay and kindly took my picture. The rooms are clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable and the shower has good pressure. You can choose a rain shower or the traditional handheld. The breakfast buffet was expansive and the staff were very attentive to refill your coffee cup. I used their workout room, specifically the spinning bike - which worked great-easy to adjust and it was always clean. The attendant on hand was cheerful and ready to help. There was a decent selection of free weights. The swimming pool is heavenly! It is so beautiful and well cared for.
This hotel was an oasis after a day of sightseeing in hot humid weather! It has a luxurious feel, yet the staff are able to give it a cozy-friendly vibe that was much appreciated by this solo traveler. The location was good for me, but I was there only to sightsee and tour guides were willing to pick up at the hotel which made it easy!

An amazing oasis of calm in a busy city. We got adjoining rooms so the children could have their own room and the grown ups could have peace. The rooms are sound proof and luxurious. We loved the rainfall showers and the water pressure.
When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who confirmed that we had been royally scammed by the taxi driver from the airport. They spent the rest of our trip getting us better rates!
Definitely make use of the daily activities. The concierge team of Boom and Nissaria gave us lessons in flower preparation, mixology, and a royal family history of the hotel complete with the opportunity to try on traditional Thai clothing.
Use the fitness center and pool. Bom and his staff were watchful and kind. They helped my little son fix his bloody ankle with proper safety standards (gloves, antiseptic, bandage). My older son who is preparing for his rowing season used the erg and said it was the best machine he has rowed on to date.
The breakfast buffet was delicious and my children enjoyed the opportunity to have freshly made ice cream and croissants every morning.
We felt totally pampered and taken care off by the wonderful staff and luxurious facilities. We hope to return one day soon!

First time stay at the Athenee – I normally avoid the corporate large hotels in Bankgok but decided to book this hotel for 3 nights to take advantage of the great location. It did not disappoint.
The hotel is located very close to the metro (BTS) and numerous shopping malls/restaurants/bar yet it is very quiet. It’s the hotel that the pictures can’t do the justice – the lobby is beautiful and rooms are very well decorated with some Thai elements. We booked a double room but the bed was huge with top quality bedding. Turndown service was offered every night.
We had breakfast daily at the rain forecast café. Due to the volume of guests the café tends to be very busy but it is always well organised. The host at the reception was always super friendly. A lot of fresh food to choose from. Most of the breakfast staff, especially the lady at the juice bar, are truly wonderful.
The hotel pool isn’t the largest in Bangkok but it is of decent size. You can enjoy the sunshine all day and despite the hotel being busy, we never struggled to get lounge chairs.
Overall a truly luxury hotel with great service and facilities with really friendly staff - everyone we met was helpful. Will certainly return.

Probably amongst the best service I have ever seen, with a huge ratio of staff to guests. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel special, with doors opened and greetings from all. We arrived a day earlier than planned early so the room type we booked for the rest of our stay was not available. However, we went out sightseeing the following day and whilst we were out, the team moved our luggage for us and left a lovely note. Just seamless.
Breakfasts were superb, and the settings and outlook over the gardens and pond ( with Goi in them!) Was a nice way to start each day.
The location was excellent, with many shopping malls within walking distance, and we even ventured further and walked the 25 mins to Siem Paragon several times. With the walkways and clean streets, Bangkok really did impress us at how easy it is to just walk some places.
We took the hotel's advice and visited the Chinese Night markets one night. Its 20 mins by taxi but oh so worth it.
Special mention to Bew and the rooms team. We had an exceptional housekeeper on our floor, and we had fresh flowers placed in our room three times and received nightly turn-down service.
I cannot fault the Anthenee and it is well worth the price.
