The Sukhothai Bangkok has got to be the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. The front desk and concierge staff are superb. The restaurant and in-room dining was excellent as well. The spa at the hotel was amazing. It is expensive but you get the value for your money.

We were upgraded to an executive suite the first time we were there which was enormous and very nicely done. The second time we stayed in a superior room which was still large and quite enough. Very good shower, excellent breakfast, nice pool. The hotel is done in such a way that it feels very zen in the common areas.... More

The resort style hotel is both cozy and stylish. Great service however some employees' English is just not the best. Took 10 minutes and 5 different persons to change a brunch reservation from 12.30 to 13.30. Pool area is great and you can even swim laps. Nice food at the restaurant next to the pool. We were upgraded to a... More

Me and my friend Walter stayed at this Hotel couple of weeks ago on our way to Burma. We have traveled all around the world but never got a service like this before. All the Staff was great. I have been coming to hotel for the past five years and despite its obvious flaws I absolutely love it. In short it can be summed up like this: Negative: The buildings, facilities etc are old and in serious need of upgrade (competing hotels in the certainly have an edge here). Rooms are cheap but restaurants fairly pricy for Bangkok.... More

I stayed here for some time and called this place my home for two weeks. Staff are friendly, professional, and prompt. If you need help with anything they will endeavour to resolve it immediately and keep hanging on. Their classic colonial rooms are beautifully set up around a fabulous garden with a lush pond. a treasured gem in the midst of the hustle and bustle of busy Bangkok! Love the rich, elegant interior, soft comfy bed and vast layout. Had the best thai massage at the Spa Botanics - highly recommended to un-knot those tight muscles. The sukothai never fails to exceed expectation each and every time.

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
