We booked two rooms at the Windsor Suites during our holiday in Bangkok. Even though we had arrived at the hotel before checking in time, they offered us the two rooms without any additional charges. They even gave us adjoining rooms with a connecting door. The staff were all very good and helpful, from the front office to housekeeping. The... More

We were led to believe that our room was in a four star hotel. I am not sure hoe this hotel gets away with billing their old wing at the same rating as the newer wing. The old wing needs a complete overhaul. It was dingy and stained with cockroaches. What a disappointment, we could find so many better rooms... More

Stayed in this hotel two times, 2008 & 2010. Both the times it was a pleasant experience. Very well maintained, neat hotel with well trained polite staffs and very good breakfast. And the location is just at the tourist hotspot. Very much recommended!

This is not a 4 star property. Location is very near to Sky train(ASOK) station. Rooms are not at all good. Gym and pool are nice. Buffet breakfast is good. So many eating joints are just outside the hotel.

There are two versions of this hotel - the old and the new. Apparently rooms in the new are fine; rooms in the old are awful. Run down, dreary, hopeless internet. We booked through an on line hotel discount agency and were persuaded by the reviews, which must have been for the new wing. Location is good but I would... More

Do not make the mistake of coming here. This is a 2 1/2 star hotel at best. The building is very old despite the well put together virtual tour that it has on the website. I even serioulsly doubt the good reviews it has posted through TripAdvisor. This is not what you see advertised. The food at the buffet breakfast... More

I paid 34e per night. Good price I think for a big room (well two rooms actually) with a view (21st floor). Pool is on 14th floor. Free wi-fi not working perfectly, but it's good enough. Location good for Bangkok. No need for taxis which is always good... Avoid Bei Otto German restaurant on the other side of the street.... More

We traveling to Bangkok in November 2013 and stayed at this property. We selected this property based on trip advisor feedback and overall, we came back happy with our experience. We stayed for 5 days Positives: a) Excellent location: everything is a short walk away, but we are still in one of the relatively quieter street of sukhumvit b) Good... More

My friend  has already made a review for our expensive stay at Windsor Suites but I'd like my 2 cents worth also. We decided to stay in a double suite for a week that clearly stated max 3 people but we ended up having to pay for our third person (which ended up being hundreds) without any proper explanation as... I stayed one year ago so read my full review from last time. This year I was given a "deluxe suite" in the main tower again, on the fifth floor. The suite outlay was the same, just a little further down. On arrival the TV channels (no flatscreen) had some white noise and not all channels were there. They fixed... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
