Have stayed here many times in the past. However now this hotel has now been swamped by masses of Indian tourists. It’s utter chaos at breakfast, they are also extremely loud, screaming in the hallways outside their rooms and have no respect for other hotel guests. Avoid this Hotel please, you will regret staying here. You have been warned

The Ambassador Hotel Bangkok is conveniently located near malls and a park. The staff at the front desk is extremely efficient, pleasant, and helpful. My room is clean and pretty huge compared to the price. The hotel's international breakfast has a lot of selection, but there are too many people in the early morning.

My first visit was four months ago, and everything was not as open as it is now. This street appears to be more lively and crowded! Also, the Ambassador Hotel is crowded, which I have never seen before. My room number is 1086, which has a nice view both at night and during the day. The room is a little worn, but it's not as bad as I expected. The pool is still lovely. And it appears that they had some events going on in the Main Lobby and Lobby Lounge when I was there.

Useless fellows in reception… They are not eligible to stand in reception… For check-in and check out you want to spend minimum 1 hour of time… At morning breakfast food also not good.. In dining no service … Room service will be no response when you informed to reception… Totally waste of this hotel 😤

No t even close to recommending this Hotel for a European or A Western Person to visit or stay in.... The . Hotel itself is Lovely and huge...Service is almost Non Existent witgh minimal ..staff.... No Operator to answer calls or room service...Told there WAS NO operatoer...Failed wake up calls ....!! Tough luck NO apologies. Doubled my room rental after one week into second week....Hot water....often none/// Mostly rude no manners ,Loud Guests , from India , acting like Hilbillies at the Breakfast Buffet in the morning. The only thing I have ever seen that compares to this is on TV is a News clip of a United Nations Food drop!! Most unfortunate becaus the Property is Huge ,Classy and the location is good!!

The hotel is nice and the staff are really excellent. The room is huge - I stayed in the Privilege room on 24th floor in the Tower wing. The only fault I found was the extremely low water pressure - just washing hands was a real struggle. Having said all that, there is one major flaw. They will not reserve the room you asked for (double or twin). Instead you are expected to take whatever is available when you check-in. I had a lot of hassle because of this. For this reason alone I would not stay here again.

Decent rooms, space etc. The location is fantastic - again in the middle of Soi 11. The disappointment was the breakfast - the place was so crowded it was a struggle to get anything. Like tons and tons of people - quite horrible that breakfast.

Huge hotel in a good location that has definitely seen better days. The good: - great location on Soi 11 right around the corner from BTS Skytrain station (Nana). - Lots of bars, restaurants and street food nearby. - Buffet breakfast was decent and seemed to cover most cultural and dietary needs. The bad: - check-in experience is probably the worst I've ever experienced. Staff was extremely slow moving and not enough working. Check in time is officially 2pm so it seems they schedule to have all workers there at 2pm. But they have to know that people start checking sooner than that! - I booked a single king room. They said they didn't have any left. I said really didn't want a room with 2 beds and asked how much to upgrade to the next level room. I was willing to pay. The clerk didn't respond and made a call to someone and seemed to magically find a single king room. - The room was horrible. It was a bit smelly with dirty carpet just like the hallway. There was no minibar. The small fridge in the room was so noisy that I unplugged it. - They have a menu of all these great TV channels that are supposedly available...NOT! Of about 12 English channels that were listed, only 3 did. All news channels. You might get lucky and find an English movie with Thai subtitles to watch on another channel. Other than that be prepared to watch the same loop of news stories over and over. - The floors of the Tower Wing are not secure. As I mentioned this is a huge hotel with multiple points of entry and the Tower Wing is far away from the main desk area. They have those keycard scanners in the elevator that are supposed to only allow the elevator to go when a keycard is scanned but they do not work. You can get on, press a button and go. - Checkout was slightly better, but that was because I left early. I would hate to see the crush around the noon check out time. All in all, don't know how this place has received any sort of distinction from Trip Advisor. Maybe the Main Wing is better and that is where all the stellar reviews and ratings are coming from.

Hi We had checked in for 2 nights stay in this property, basis the positive reviews read online. The location of the Hotel was on the buzzing SOI 11 which was close to all good pubs and bars on the Soi 11 street and also close to the Terminal 21 mall (1.3kms walking distance). The checking experience was horrible as we had to wait for approx 45 minutes with just 03 reception staff handling approx 15-20 checkins.. We had booked approx 3 months in advance and requested for 04 rooms to be provided together on the same floor with kingsize bed in all rooms. Inspite of clear instructions we were provided 2 rooms each on 2 different floors and with twin beds in 2 of the rooms out of total 04. There was no explanation provided and simply mentioned that we do not have the required rooms. The floor corridors were not smelling fresh and had damp kind of smell coming in. There were no hand / face towels kept in the room and upon request to Housekeeping, I was informed that the towels are finished and not available and may be available the next day !! My room had cockroaches running behind the television and the view from the room was also very pathetic. The most horrifying experience was the free breakfast next day, which actually gave a feeling of being in a refugee camp standing for food with absolutely and horribly managed breakfast. Poor menu planning, poor looks and appeal of the hot dishes (veg and non-veg) being displayed in the buffet, half the items missing from the buffet, NO F&B staff to provide any help to the guest, the kitchen chef (for eggs of choice) giving completely cold looks and pathetic preparation of egg dishes (omelette in my case) and the most shocking was that when I requested the Chef to add onions and tomatoes in the omelette, he replied that they're out of onions and potatoes and he offered green chillies instead. The poorest possible breakfast experience I've had in my entire life. Same issue with the checkout as the Hotel was understaffed, there was no Lobby Manager to assist, had to wait for 30-40 mins again at the reception. I was getting late for my flight and taxi was waiting outside, however the staff took their own sweet time for checkout and shown absolutely no concern towards the situation. Overall, an ill-kept and ill-maintained property in an excellent location.

Most pathetic check in experience. Highly under staffed. Took one hour for check in process. Staff not polite or hospitable. Visited this hotel with family for 2 nights stay. Very disappointing experience. Surely never to return to this one.
