Normal Hotel, nothing special. It's looks like Shopping Center not a Hotel, where every step you make someone offer you something, a Hotel is for relax. Be careful one the Reception with giving your CREDIT CARD, they charge me a deposit for the mini bar without my permission, unacceptable if you not control your Bank Account and you don't see...

Nice hotel we stayed in the tower wing which was fairly modern. Would stay here again deffently. Would have gave 5 stars if breakfast was included with more variety. All in all was good and close to everywhere.

I stayed twice for one night during stop off's in bangkok. I like this hotel mostly for the location. I have booked flash hotels before and found myself in rubbish areas where I walk for ages for food and drinks. This has plenty of bars and restaurants within 10 mins walk. Head to nana for the busiest in the area....

Next day shifted to Tower Wing where I lost my goods but after claim to complain desk they refund my goods. When I asked - why it has been missing or stolen from my room- the desk officer...

We traveled with a couple and we got a nice room higher up in the tower; however, they got a horrible room. They were able to upgrade into the same tower we were in and get a normal room for additional fee. The room itself was big, good wifi, average bathroom. We did have one mishap. Either my husband is...

I stayed here just for one night as it was the end of my trip and I was flying out of Bangkok. I've stayed at several hotels in the area and I always wanted to try this place. It's a bit more expensive than other budget hotels and I wanted to see if it was worth it. I had the...

Worst internet ever ! Super slow ... the rooms are like made in ancient times ! The TV is literally smaller than a palm and the oldest version there is of LCD ! The Air Conditioner, oh god !! Even a handmade fan is better :")

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

Hi everyone, our family has been staying at Ambassador Hotel on our annual Bangkok Vacation for the last 15 years and we love it as it feels like home and the area is just unbeatable!

The last time I went there was in April 2014 and on this trip we noticed the hotel has fallen a few steps back from what it was compared to 2013. A few things I would like to know :

1. The A/C in the Reception area used to be really good and refreshing to walk into after a full day of shopping but in 2014 the A/C was literally non existent, so what I want to know is - was it temporary or is it still the same ?

How about the A/C in the Tower Wing Ground floor lift area (near the fish tanks ?) and in the AM Cafe. We usually hang around these areas hence the concern.

2. We always stay in the Tower Wing and have found that the Rooms and Washrooms were quite good (no foul smell, cockroaches etc) is the standard still the same in the tower wing?

The house keeping in the tower wing used to do an awesome job cleaning the rooms, how is it now ?

3. Is the hotel still happening like it used to be ? One plus point for this hotel used to be that it was never boring (people always in the lobby area etc).

These questions might be weird to some but this year we will be spending around 17 days during the Christmas and new year season in Bangkok and can't let anything spoil our holiday as it is a very special one this year! if the hotel has really gone down we might have to look for a replacement hotel - sadly :(

Thanks,

Jamie - Sri Lanka.
