A small family hotel with bar and restaurant a few hundred meter from noisy Sukhumvit. A garden with a little but ok swimming pool - and you don't hear any traffic. The food basket of thai and scandinavian choises is excellent. The pickled herrings, the liverpaste and the swedish meatballs - all homemade together with our belowed dark bread. Nice...

We spent nine nights in the family room (joining rooms) check in no problem staff very helpful. Rooms could be updated some days the rooms had a funky smell (drains) for some reason the rooms always seemed to have mozzies inside, even after keeping all the doors windows closed? Food was great and reasonable in price, the Thai food was...

Liked: - free internet, easy to use - very cheap hotel - close to Nana station and other food outlets, 7eleven etc. - early check-in (10am) without notice was no problem for them - large rooms - plenty of space to set up our portable cot for our toddler. They had put a cot in the room for us before...

This is a very friendly place situated perfectly near the Skytrain in a side road to Sukumvit. Swimming pool average and cold, staff friendly and very good food. I always return here, and see no reason to change place. Only gripe: Easy to be the subject of insect attacks.

I stayed in Stable Lodge March 11, 12, and 13, 2012. The first night I awoke and the room smelled like a sewer. The smell came from the bathroom. When I told the from desk they said they could move me to the top floor where they didn't get complaints of sewer smells. The air conditioner in that next room...

Great Hotel, near the Skytrain Nana Station. If you are going to Bangkok the best place to stay is near de Sukhumvit Road, because if you stay there you don't need to get a taxi. The taxis and Tuk Tuk's overcharge the tourists. AVOID THEM!!! There are Prostitutes in the street with foreigners, but all the city it's like that.

Had the pleasure to revisit the Stable lodge 3 times during end of January 2012. Personnel is very service minded and it seems the hotel is very popular amongst mainly Scandinavians as the establishment is also marketed for its Scandinavian cuisine including a very extensive smorgasbord (Danish open sandwiches) of a high standard. Twice a week also a buffet barbeque...

Met up with my cousin and stayed at Stable Lodge for one night before returning to OZ. Rooms were not large but large enough. Balcony was excellent. Beds, bathroom facilities, air con all acceptable with no complaints. Good wi-fi internet in rooms. Excellent location. Street is quiet and rooms are quiet at night. Service from the staff cannot be faulted....

We found this hotel in Lonely Planet, and it did not live up to its description unfortunately. There was nothing bad about it, it just sounded more upscale than it actually was. The description boasted great views of the city, but we were on the top floor and the view was blocked by several tall buildings in close proximity to...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
