Myself and my husband are budget travellers and have spent lots of time in Bangkok on previous occasions. On this trip we decided to treat ourselves to a nice hotel for our last few nights and we were not disappointed with Baan Chart. Baan Chart has a great location between Koh San Road and Rambuttri Alley (the main tourist streets...

This hotel is very well situated. Right next to Kao San Road, a 10 minute walk from the Grand Palace, and a 15 minute walk from the Emerald Buddha and the Reclining Buddha. It's very clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff is friendly and they speak very good English at the front desk. It has a pool on the...

Good room, nice people on the reception, very well situated, close to everything. The breakfast is ok but you can find many other options close by. There's Starbucks and Burger King right there at the entrance area, A little bit noisy but all the rest is very ok.

First the good: Clean, great location for a night out, nice room, good shower - which is all we really wanted. The not-so-good: Very loud until about 3am, and the food sucks. Breakfast should be avoided, as should any form of chicken where you can't see the actual meat. We had a plate of gristle and tendon covered in batter...

Extremely clean! Such a plus! Will totally visit here again! Lady in the evening has the best Thai food! Hotel staff is very accommodating! Rooms are great but minimal natural lighting. It was well worth the money.

Stayed here for a few nights while in the Khaosan area. The rooms are very nicely done in an indochina theme. It's on the main street which attaches to Khaosan so its easy to get a taxi, shuttle from without the crazyness of Khaosan itself. Nice and safe hotel. We also stored our luggage with them while we were away....

Very nice hotel a street away from Khaosan street and a 10 minute walk from the Royal Palace! The room was really nice, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was big. I strongly recommend this hotel if you're going to be going out in Khaosan at night because it's not on the street in the center of the craziness,...

We needed a spot to stay in Bangkok and thought that this would be an interesting location. I like that there were a lot of places to see around the hotel, temples, the palace, scooting around the city via the river, but the street it's on was a bit overwhelming and loud, cool if you're young and wanting to party...

Good quality hotel, starbucks and BK next door. Right in the middle of the backpackers district. So, all in a couple of minutes walking distance- very convenient. However, this also means, lots of loud partying which you can hear quite well in the rooms. So, if you like to party or sleep through party noise- excellent choise! If you need...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
