This hotel is literally in the heart of Koh san road. Since the city is dirty and hot it's nice to stay in an affordable air con hotel room not a hostel for a couple nights. The room was clean and quite. The bed was large and they provided bath towels. The pool was perfect, actual cold water and they... More

Once again I was not disappointed with my stay at Buddy's Lodge. The staff is super friendly as usual and always willing to help you. They all have a good level of english as knowing it is not their first language. I am always amazed to see how a hotel like this can receive so many bad reviews. Fellows, it... More

I just spent one week with my girlfriend here in Bangkok and the Buddy Lodge was really a good choice. Finding some peace in the middle of the chaotic Kaosan road is gold. And here we found it. The room was very nice and super quite. We weren't bothered by the loud music from the nearby streets. The pool on... More

We arrived at the buddy lodge after a really long flight. We were two hours early to check in and had been pestered all the way up koh san road by the local tuk tuk drivers. We just wanted to chill out and take our back packs off. The owner turned out to be english which made things a whole... More

Stayed for 3 nights before heading on my travels. Positives: good facilities (gym and pool) rooms were spacious although bathroom slightly outdated, friendly staff who were accommodating and excellent location. Negatives: price, I have stayed in far better hotels for half the price whilst in Thailand and Bangkok itself, can be very loud at night inside the hotel as the... More

this hotel is in the heart of koh San road. Great for partying, shopping and street food. Definietly a touristy area, and at night the street is a massive party with music dancing drinking and laughing gas. If looking for a quiet night do t stay anywhere near here. The hotel is nice, amenities are plenty, staff wasn't the nicest... More

I've had a lovely friday/saturday at buddy lodge. Very friendly staff and a nice swimming pool. All my gratitude go out to the night staff that have to deal with drunk guests coming early in the morning after a night of drinking. The nightshift girl at the reception handled everything in a very professional way.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
