We had stayed at the Pan Pacific and other 5-star hotels around Thailand for 3 weeks, so the fact that we weren't let down by Silom Serene is a good sign. This hotel cost about $70 and is in a quiet location in an otherwise bustling area. It was convenient for us because our daughter is living across the street...

Nice hotel with decent staff, apart from the manageress whom came over as a right horrible so and so. Would stay here again if I ever visited crazy Bangkok again. Good location for transport, sightseeing and shopping, nice breakfast and the pool is good to chill out after a day sweating your baws off sightseeing.

I booked this hotel trough booking website - it looked better on the photos posted on booking, but generally it was very nice. Good price. Very nice and helpful service. Nice pool, cozy and quite big rooms, clean. Expensive internet (as for Bangkok prices), good location - next to the train station, lots of shops, bars, etc. Generally I would...

I have been travelling to Thailand for over 25 years, and never had the experience of tonight. As we were walking back to the hotel, a thief on a motorcycle stole the purse of one of my friends. This would not reflect bad on the hotel, except how they handled it. They had no heart, only to charge my friend...

The location is quite good, and in spite of the noise and activity in the surrounding areas, the place is truly rather "serene." The rooms were spacious and nicely appointed, and the staff very polite and reasonably helpful, at ch/in & ch/out. The breakfast was nice and varied enough to keep us happy for four or five mornings. It began...

Stayed at Silom Serene for 4 nights on a holiday to Bangkok. The hotel is a true gem in the busy Silom area. On check in I requested for a quiet room and was given a pool facing higher floor which suited my requirements. I paid less than US $50 which included taxes and breakfast for 2. The room was...

This hotel was sold to us at Phuket airport by a hotel salesman. Usually you can trust them for a good bargain, but i wished we had swayed away from staying at this hotel. The service was appaulingly awful, our room was located far away from the reception and upon arrival our door (like many others) was left wide open...

I was upgraded upon arrival to a suite with a king size bed. It really was beautiful. My room was big and beautiful with shiny hard wood floors. All the amenities... big, flat screen TV with English channels, hair dryer in bathroom, even a cooking area. The hotel really is beautiful however there are warning signs posted: Hotel is Not...

Clean, comfortable room. Breakfast buffet and dining area good. Only drawback to the hotel is that the pool does not get any sunlight because it is sandwiched between taller buildings.

Brilliant hotel fantastic location, few minutes walk from Sala Dang which is the nearest Sky train station and from there you can travel all around Bankok. All staff very helpfull and good English spoken. I did not have breakfast so cannot comment on meals service. On checkout which in my case was very early i found that they had allready...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
