I needed a room just before Christmas to rest to get acclimated to the time change and visit Narry Bespoke Tailors (to order custom shirts and pants- see my review on them). I arrived late (I had contacted them about this beforehand) from my flight and the front desk clerk had a room ready for me. In fact, it was upgraded and I found myself on the 18th floor (top floor) overlooking Bangkok. The check in was smooth. I decided to pay in Thai baht as opposed to US dollars (Thai bank processors will charge a percentage) because I am able to get the market rate through Capital One. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. They had a breakfast buffet which was reasonable and food was delicious and fresh. The location is near Nana BTS station and many night spots. I did not get to try much of the street food while I was there but I will return. Hotel is of good value. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

This hotel has been completely refurbished at the time we reach except the signage board (hotel name). Instead of setting the location as “Ramada by Wyndham Sukhumvit 11” in “GPS” or “Grab”, it will be easier if set the location as “Grand Swiss Hotel” (former name) or Citin Sukhumvit 11 (next to the hotel).

The nearest BTS station is Nana (E3) at Exit 3 (Lawson convenient store at the BTS station), about 7mins walk. You will see the 7-11 store at the first junction (left side) once you off the BTS station. Proceed to the 2nd junction until you see the famous restaurant “Krua Khun Puk” (with a prawn logo) then turn left, walk till the end, you will reach the hotel. The nearest shopping centre Terminal 21 is within walking distance around 15mins.

The receptionists are polite and provided quick check-in service. The team hardly checked email until I told them my request on the spot. I have sent in my request one week before my trip but no one replied me. Anyway, they still strived to fulfil my request and upgraded our rooms. The so-called international buffet is at affordable price (300 baht included of tax), taste good but limited choices.

The room is spacious and clean. The only complain is the bath area. The water pressure and heater work well. Unfortunately, the water failed to have smooth flow due to the uneven floor surface not the clogged drainage. (My guess.) While I “sweep” the water with my foot to the drainage hole, it drains well.

The hotel area is a happening place. Anyhow, it doesn’t affect my sleep quality as the soundproof is quite good (loud music from those bars).

Overall, we had a pleasant stays here.

Wondered where I was coming at first but needn't have worried we booked executive and believe me room
was fab and snacks and canapes at 5 o clock . Very clean and staff were polite short of sunbeds but there isn't a lot of room . Breakfast was beautiful we went over the road for street food which was lovely
This hotel didn't disappoint pay that bit extra it's worth it and very central loads of bars nearby and shops and also train station .

We stayed at the Grand Swiss Sukhamvit 11 after reading the reviews and this is definitely not a 4 star 2 at best.
The staff are rude and speak very little English and would not hold a job in many Western countries with their attitude.

Everything looks old and there's a tiny little swimming pool and a tiny little Gym and the housekeeping is not very good.

The foyer is small cramped and uninviting.
The room's compact and ridiculous in the setup. The beds are two single beds pushed together with no mattress topper or anything to cover the gap in the middle and there is a light and a powepoint right in the middle of the mattress where your head goes. What a ridiculous dangerous setup! They were blood stains on the sheets. The fittings were loose in the room and bathroom, and the phone to reception didn't work.

Food and drinks are very expensive and you wouldn't even offered a welcome drink when you arrived. The TV has poor reception and has no movie channels and nothing of interest in English which is pathetic for a 4-star hotel.

The shower has weak shower pressure and they give you one tiny little bath gel bottle that's supposed to last for two people which it doesn't even go anywhere near.
The bathrobes feel like canvas and are horrible, and the slippers they provide a look like they're made from the bottom of the cereal packet they're paper thin and uncomfortable and very poor quality.

There's very limited power sockets for charging your devices. The beds comfort is about the standard of a hostel or 1 or 2 star hotel.
There is poor lighting in the room and the bar fridge is set at barely cool and it doesn't keep anything called which is ridiculous.

The only good thing I can say which was good for it was it was close to Nana BTS station. Everything else including the appearance of the lobby and the front of the building, are fabricated photoshopped pictures on various hotels websites, all of which make this place look much better than what it is in reality. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money coming here.

Way overpriced poor quality, for what you get with staff that should be terminated and you can do so much better in Bangkok for cheaper prices.

I would never return here I would never recommend this place to anybody it is very poor quality and way too expensive.

The Grand Swiss Sukhumvit 11 Bangkok my first impressions were very poor. The hotel itself is located down a dodgy looking alleyway and the entrance and foyer are very univiting. The lobby is old cramped and the reception staff have very poor English which is unacceptable in a 4 star hotel.

I spoke to Hotel staff prior to booking and notified them that I be arriving after midday and could I have an early check-in and when I arrived I was lied to by the reception staff. They told me the checking was 2 p.m. and that the hotel was fully booked which was an absolute lie. I got onto Several websites and checked in there still plenty of rooms available.

While I sat in the cramped lobby I made several booking attempts on several websites and I was quite easily able to book rooms at this hotel. Today or tomorrow, so the reception stop with just telling me lies.

How disgraceful.

Finally when I checked into my room the first glaring anomaly was the rooms don't look like the fighters that have very dim dull and uninviting. The rooms have an unpleasant damp, musty smell about them.

The bedding is old and the beds themselves are basic and not very comfortable and certainly not at a 4-star level.

The bathrooms have very poor lighting, poor water pressure and the TV has a very limited selection of English-speaking channels.

My overall impression of this hotel was very poor I would not recommend it to anybody and I would not return here.

There is a huge selection of hotels in Bangkok and this one fails in too many areas.

Don't waste your money. There are much better options around.

Well located but rooms are either small or windowless and stuffy. Bathroom needs an update. Staff are pleasant but no more than pleasant The pool is very small with sun loungers in the sun and only tables and chairs in the shade.

The Ramada by Wyndham Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 is one of the most pleasant hotels that I have stayed in Bangkok! The location is at the bustling Nana area but it is spared from the noise and chaos of it all! I still managed to have a good night’s sleep despite my room facing a somewhat busy street! Nana BTS station is also only a stone’s throw away making this hotel very accessible and convenient to travel around Bangkok.

The bed is comfortable and the pillows are fluffy! I really could not find any fault with this hotel. So much so that I decided to extend my stay here!

Anyhow what really sets this hotel apart is the friendliness and kindness of their staff. Always going above and beyond to make sure that you have a comfortable and wonderful stay at this hotel. Special mention to Sonia, Faye and the rest of the team for making my stay in Bangkok this time an excellent one and I hope come back again soon! Khop khun mark khrup!

Stayed here 2 nights , on arrival we were happy with location, convenient to public transport network , plenty of choice for food within walking distance . Staff very helpful at checkin , room functional & clean , rooftop swimming pool was only a ‘dipping’ pool but served its purpose . Our stay deteriorated on our second night returning back to our room after dinner we were soon disturbed by a bleeping noise which when we investigated was coming from the adjacent room being a phone not answered or an alarm going off. It eventually stopped but shortly after we were disturbed again as they had the volume of the TV up loud and it must have been attached to the wall adjacent to our room as we were hearing it so clear . Initially we thought it would soon be turned off but this was not the case and as the night progressed the banging of doors began . At this point as it was after midnight , we felt we had put up with enough & contacted reception to bring to their attention the amount of noise coming from the room which was very inconsiderate considering the time. We contacted reception several times after this as the noise continued preventing us to get any sleep but they said no one was answering them in the room. We felt they had left the room & left everything on which we explained to reception . At checkin contact details had to be be left but we felt the night staff did very little to try and address the situation. We then could see no point in staying as the situation wasn’t changing & we weren’t going to get any sleep so we packed up & checked out early. When checking out no acknowledgement to our complaints during the night of the noise disturbance & of all the staff that served us during our stay they let the rest of the team down . Would not use again & would not recommend .

My friend and I booked a three night stay with the Ramada through Agoda.

When we checked into our rooms we were overpowered by a strong chemical smell from, I can only assume, were the cleaning products they used. We tried to ventilate the rooms but to no avail. We were offered other rooms but the air quality was just as poor. When we asked for a refund we were initially refused.

Eventually, after a series of robust conversations and a request to speak to the hotel manager which was refused, the duty manager Tong said the manager had agreed to a full refund on both rooms. We asked for a confirmation email but was told this was not possible. Tong asked us to trust him that we would indeed receive a refund in full. I know now we should have insisted on the email confirmation, but we were tired from travelling and needed to find new accommodation, so we accepted his word. It has been over two months and Tong and the hotel management is refusing to honour their agreement.

Given the size of the Ramada group I am perplexed and dismayed as to why they are refusing to do the right thing and honour the agreement made. I certainly question the integrity of the Ramada management team and that of the group as a whole.

Agoda have been of no assistance at all. I would not use Agoda again.

The hotel is well situated near nana station and has some decent restaurants with in walking distance . ( Burapa - up the same street was east Thai ) and. (Thai Niyom along the main drag past Nana station opposite side of street ). Both did not disappoint.

Lots of variety nearby with street stalls at night, also handy for grab taxis as they are always about , some Thai massage parlours 300 local currency for 1Hr treatment.
The hotel has 18 floors and a smaller sister block adjacent.
Top floor bar with nice views and a Japanese restaurant. There’s a small open air pool on the 7th with a dispense bar, lots of drinks offers in here and in the local area.
The bedroom are older and just about adequate, we slept poorly. Air con is weak and a neighbouring room left the Tv/ music on very loud all night ( probably went out partying)
The numerous phone calls to reception from 10pm to early morning was no good as they refused to sort it out , they said even security could not enter their room and phone call went unanswered . They did not even look up the booking reference and hunt the culprits down.
All in all no apology, the reception stood with a stern face and never apologised, no discount We checked out at 6AM . Lobby staff had more character and were helpful.
Could not recommend this hotel as there’s plenty in the area , pithy the bedroom walls were so thin and the hotel has no policy to sort out noisy issues . They did not give a hoot .
I’ll be taking up the issue with British Airway’s. as we booked through them
