On arrival we was welcomed to the guest house by friendly front of house staff. Our room was on the 5th floor at the back of the hotel. The room was very basic with a double bed, an open shower and toilet. The cleanliness was perfect, would definitely recommend getting a room with air conditioning as the ceiling fan did...

Prices are very fair ! (650THB/night) Ideal for backpackers! The building is a bit noisy but it's ok! The rooms are clean! Located in a quiet & safe neighborhood with a lot of small roads. The view from the restaurant is perfect! :)

This is a review of both the hotel and restaurant, it is so had to find, if our tuk tuk driver didn't ask like 3 people on the way even he wouldn't know how to get there, it's in a shady area that looks a bit dirty first of all but you get used to its charm, down a small...

So for the price i booked 4 nights (900bth, less then 15€) you can't expect great luxury! The guest house is really hard to find but for the adventurers is a great place to explore! its located in a cool neighborhood "chinatown"! people, get your map apps working or ask the friendly people around. it seems a creepy place but...

City view room with A/C overpriced and lacking any charm for a family run guest house. Room and bathroom are big, but that is the only good thing. Tuk tuk drivers can't find the place so getting there is a nightmare. Perhaps the cheaper rooms are better.

We used this hotel as a stop over for one night. The only thing good about it was the view. The photos of this place are absolutely nothing what it is actually like in person. The room was mostly clean, but the shower was a bit sketchy. Definitely made sure to use flip flops to shower. It is very outdated...

The location near chinatown by the river is perfect. Close to mbk by public transport but in a quiet area. the staff is very nice friendly and helpfull. The rooftop with restaurant on the 8th floor have a magnific view specially to watch the sunset. The rooms are clean and they clean them every day! I recomand this place !

I m going to review the restaurant: JUST FORGET ABOUT IT. We saw the open view terrace at the top from the boat and decided to have a drink and some food there. After having being sitting for a long time I tried to get the attention of the unfriendly staff.we ordered pad Thai goong (let's say like pizza in...

I stay here each time I come to Bangkok. Always clean, always friendly staff and always the best food upstairs at the restaurant. It's in a small laneway down by the river in Chinatown, so can be a little tricky to find but is well worth it.

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
