Stayed here for 4 nights and it was good. Decent size room with own bathroom with hot shower. It does turn into a sewage smelly bathroom every now and then so keep the door shut. Comfy bed but terrible pillows, rock hard. Clean and bright. Good WiFi signal and great location, very close to Kao San but not right in the...

The hotel is itself in the good location. BUT the receptionist is trying hard to make everything to make situation about this hotel funny, but it is definitly not. The rooms are nisy (especially those in 3rd and 4th floors, because of the noise of the road which is bussy day and night. Also the restaurant on the roof is...

The rooms are quiet clean, and come with attached bathroom (hot water)... Althought, even the position is very good (close to Khaosan road and Grand Palace, easy to reach from Hua Lumpong with public bus) i think it should be cheaper ..

Great location: 5 minutes walk from Khaosan Road, lots of shops 7/11), cheap street food round the corner -- what more could you wish? Hotel itself is OK -- perhaps a bit expensive for what you get: we paid 600 bath for an AC room, 500 for just Fan. But hey -- this is Bangkok! Staff is helpful, friendly enough,...

Ideally located budget hotel, a few hundred meters from Khao San Road and close to the Chao Phraya Express Boat. The hotel is quite old, a bit run down and not very clean. The room with a fan was very modest, but quite spacious. There was a loud noise from the street, thankfully not so loud at night, so I...

It was our first hotel in Thailand. The room was not so good and but I cannot say it is bad. They should seperate the rooms with good explanation. Because the only difference is about ac or fan. It is not deluxe when you choose a room with ac. It was okay for us, but can be seen deceptive. The...

Rooms are clean and narrow, bathrooms are quite old. Same rooms have air co,, some others only fan. Rooms are not quiet because of the traffic jam in the area, better to choose them in backside of the building. People at the reception are not so friendly but helpful and they give you to possibility to keep your luggage in...

Very small room with nowhere to put our things, so had to keep everything in the suitcase. Room was not cleaned during our 5 night stay, we emptied the bin ourselves, nor was the bed changed (very uncomfortable in seering heat). Leaking pipe in the toilet meant that the floor was always wet. Staff ranged from disinterested to downright surly....

We arrived at 4am after an overnight bus. A room was available. Since we were paying a full room rate and normal check out time was midday I asked if it would be possessive to check out at 2pm instead of midday. The woman at reception who was very unhelpful said that yes a 2 on check out would be...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
