Used to be the place to stay. Upgrades have them asking too much for what you get now. Look at other places... there are many better smaller places nearby that are cleaner and less expensive by 30% or more!.

Don't go, look for something else in the neighborhood. You can not sleep. Noise from everything. Music, airco, motors from elivator and machine. Beds to hard. Theribble hotel. Ga hier niet heen, vreselijk, zoek gewoon iets anders enkele straten verder. Je doet hier geen oog dicht.

Rude locals are few and far between in Thailand but they all seem to work at D&D INN. I booked a year prior to my arrival In Bangkok. When I booked I requested a back room. When we arrived at D&D we were given a front room with a window hat opened up to Khao San Road - insanely loud....

The location is pretty good, slap bang in the middle of the Khaosan road, which is one of the busiest streets for shops, food and bars. The downside to this is there is A LOT of noise so you won't be sleeping anytime before 3 if you get placed next to the street. At first we were told we had...

We stayed in 2 different rooms because we extended our stay both were very nice. Staff were less then average. Kinda rude but didn't really matter to us because the rooftop pool was great and it is right on Khaosan road which was a lot fun. Would definitely return

This is my third time staying at D&D. They are upgrading the rooms which are done really nicely - latest decor and tv's etc. However the drains in all the rooms (we had 4) smelt so bad it was unbearable to stay in the room without feeling sick. I would also strongly suggest that you don't opt for the cheapest...

First time visiting Bangkok and despite reading about the chaos of Khaosan, I was still surprised at the sheer volume of street partiers. D&D is located almost right in the middle of the nightly mayhem, which can be both good and bad. It's convenient for those who want to be staying in the midst of the party, inconvenient for those...

I had not been to Khaosan Road for almost 30 years -- things change. Arrived on late flight from Vietnam after midnight on a weekend to find a full rave and mass humanity jamming the entire road. Did not anticipate finding the quiet mom-and-pop guest houses and eateries of the '80's, but did not anticipate how far south the area...

Staying in the centre of Bangkok's koh San road can be pricey( by thailand's standard) as can be expected staying in the heart of any capital. But the d&d is great value for money. Its clean and the rooms are quaint. They are not much in size, don't let the pictures fool you, but the are very adequate for a...

It is a good hotel in the middle-rate class. Nice swimmingpool on the roof. In the hotel is is good staying. On Khaosan road it is not so nice anymore. A lot of load music and drunken people on the street. That is a pitty! The hotel gives a verry good service and is good isolated. No noise came in...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
