We had a wonderful stay at Old Capital Bike Inn. The hotel has about 6 rooms - we stayed in Family Suite. The rooms are very unique and the owner is very gentile. Also all information given before and during the stay has been very helpful. The lobby located direct to the lobby - there is no sound insulation therefore...

How can you call a place a "hotel" when the hotel owner runs for a medicine when he hears you coughing ? Isn't it almost a parental care when your breakfast is prepared uniquely for you entirely upon your wishes and requests with great care and the best ingredients. Every single guest enjoys the rich variety of the breakfast exactly...

The hotel is lovely, full of character and the rooms are very special. Everyone we met who works at the hotel was both professional, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was great too! I thoroughly recommend the hotel (really near sights, pier etc) although I sort of want to keep it a secret too :-)

This is one of my favorite places I've ever stayed. The hotel is incredibly charming. The vintage furniture is lovely (and comfortable!). The staff are so helpful & friendly. They gave us tips and helped plan our time in Bangkok, and leave little personalized notes on your bed with a gift everyday. The included breakfast is also amazing- fruit plates...

If you want to stay away from the clean lines of a modern hotel this is the place for you. I write this as I sit in the bath (which is in the garden). The staff are amazing nothing too much trouble for these guys. Book the bike tour if you stay here it's amazing.

A wonderful situation not far from many cultural site such as the Grand Palace and the reclining Buddha. The staff in the hotel were delightful and Jason was especially helpful and informative. We had a great evening bile ride under his supervision. Breakfasts were scrumptuous and many new delights were carefully and enthusastically described to us. The bedrooms were spacious...

I stayed here for two nights, and wish I could have stayed here longer. I was stunned by the beauty of the lobby and the dining area as I walked in, and the room was even more beautiful than what the pictures show, decorated with antique furnishings with a bike theme. This beautiful two-story hotel room is the kind of...

This inn is in a great location --near Democracy Monument and key tourist attractions as well as close (but not too close) to Khao San Road. It has the advantages of both a long-standing small hotel (it was managed/owned by the same woman for 20+ years, who still works there part-time) and a new hotel (the new owner is the...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
