Phranakorn Nornlen is in every way the most beautiful hotel I've ever been to. Rooms are clean, the staff is helpful and lovely, the food great and location very convenient to go everywhere. But on top of that, the big house is furnished and decorated with a great love for details, the ambiance is calm and warm and it has...

Our family loved our three night stay at Phranakorn-Nornlen. The breakfasts were incredible; we also enjoyed smoothies and meals from the hotel kitchen during the evenings we spent relaxing in the hotel lobby and adjusting to the 12 hour time change. We appreciated the creative decor in the rooms and public spaces. The staff were very helpful and arranged multiple...

This place has charm and is perfectly located walking distance to the river taxi. Take the Orange boat and you can stop anywhere along the river to see the Temples and connect to the BTS. Breakfast is delightful and is a great opportunity to meet other travelers.

We had such a great stay at Phranakorn-Norlen. It was such a dream place to stay away from the craziness of the city.. it had such a nice vibe, amazing food for breakfast and really helpful friendly staff. The Rooms were decorated in a fun way and our balcony had a really great view.

I've been coming back to the Phranakorn-Nornlen since 2008. Probably about half a dozen times by now. It's like coming home and seeing old friends, like Pu, Nam, Non and the masseuse with the muscle-crunching hands, Bling. This place remains a gem.and I'll keep coming back.

Phranakorn-Nornlen Hotel is a really lovely place to stay. It's nice and relaxed and the staff are really helpful. I also always enjoy the shop at the hotel. I stayed with my two young children who enjoyed playing with the toys by the dinning area. My children also loved the room decoration and enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the hotel.

Lovely boutique hotel in a great location. Loved the decor and the little shop. Breakfast was great- definitely recommend the roti and sugar milk! Quiet despite central location. Nice communal area with cushions and tables. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Be careful of the Mosquitos, there are a lot as it's by the river and the wooden doors etc...

Friendly, beautifully designed, on a quiet little alleyway in a residential part of town. Away from the bustle of BKK tourist ghetto, but easy enough to get where you want to go. And tons of great street food stalls right around the corner. Can't recommend highly enough.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
