Hotel next to canal. Walking distance to Khaosan Rd. Super nice staff. The really enjoyed my stay here. Not a huge fancy hotel but I would rather stay at a nice small place with some character. Breakfast was also nice!

We stayed at this hotel twice. Excellent location facing onto a canal within a 10 minute walk of Koh San Road but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be relaxing. The breakfasts are very good and staff are helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable especially in the second newer building. Two gripes. The wifi is...

I hated the lamphu tree hotel. They don't have air conditioning in the lobby and in the hallways, when we arrived after our 12 hour flight the air conditioning wasn't even on in our room, we had to turn it on ourselves, and believe, when it is 100* F it is very very hot. The staff don't speak any English...

We stayed there for one night when arriving in Bangkok. Staff is very friendly and professional. We arrived at 09 AM quite early, very tired after a 12 hour flight. The room was already ready, so they let us check-in right away without any additional charge. That was a very much appreciated gesture so we could rest and take a...

We stayed in this hotel 8 years ago and totally enjoyed our stay. It had good location close to Khao San and the river, nice small pool, nice staff. So it was our choice also for this year. But the hotel starts to show its age. The furniture is old, the walls are quite dirty, the pool area really needs...

This little quiet gem should be on your list. Quaint boutique hotel with a great breakfast and small but relaxing pool. Close to Khao San Road on a sleepy little canal. Our room had a great view and the air conditioning and wifi worked very well. Added bonus they allowed us to store our bags on the day we checked...

We stayed in the Lamphu Tree Suite in the main building. The room was spacious, clean, and the shower rocked! (Great water pressure and temperature control.) The room also had a its own lanai and two private balconies with great views of the city. The staff at the the hotel were both friendly and helpful. They made us feel very...

Quiet hotel with character. Good neighborhood for exploring one of the older parts of the city. Helpful friendly people. Nice place to relax and swim after walking around the city in the heat. We had lunch twice at the good restaurant.

The stay at Lamphu was great. They sent us to the second building, which was a few minutes walk from the main lobby. It was very nice, quiet, and safe. The staff was very nice and helpful. The buffet breakfast was nice. Wifi was good. The location is good to walk to certain places, but it's not near the Bangkok...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
