We loved this hotel. It was sweet and cheap and in the area we wanted to be – near Khao San road. Near the Chabad house. We stayed in the main building in a deluxe suite. Room was quiet with great AC and the pool was sweet (get some cocktails at the bar and enjoy them in the pool). Hotel... More

We spent a very pleasant 3 nights at the Lamphu Tree House. The location was great - near Khao San Road and walkable to the Grand Palace if you don't mind a little bit of a trek. The room was simple and on the small side, but clean and comfortable with all of the important amenities like bottled water, coffee... More

The LTH was nice in that it was close to the action but reasonably quit. The staff were courteous and the rooms clean. Perhaps a bit small for the price but I'd consider it a "value" accommodation. The pool is a nice touch.

Stayed for 2 night in this little hotel. It is conveniently situated in a nice and quiet area. It is walking distance to the golden mountain and Khao san road (for those who wants to party) The staff is awesome so is the swimming pool to refresh after a day walk. Rooms are just what you need. Not small and... More

Everything was effortless. Check in was a breeze. Setting up a cab ride was easy. No hidden fees. Great thai massages right around the corner. A few minute walk to the major downtown area. It was an excellent location. Breakfast was included with the room. The breakfast was amazing. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a... More

This hotel is located on a alley way next to a canal that car's can't access, this was difficult for drop off as the driver found it difficult to stop near the alley and we had to get our suitcases down the alley 30... We arrived at 7.30am in Bangkok and went to the hotel to leave our bags, but instead they let us check in early, which was great, and on top of that invited us to have the free breakfast that morning. The room was even upgraded for free to one with a balcony. The room was clean and well facilitated and... More

I stayed 3 nights at the end of September - rainy season and needed a rest from my travels, so I stayed at the hotel much of the time during the rain and felt very comfortable. If you are a budget or mid-range traveler looking for a hotel with all of the basic comforts, this is a great, centrally located... More

Enjoyed our time at Lamphu Tree House, we stayed 2 nights at the start and then 2 nights at the end, it had a nice pool, and the staff wrote in Thai, on a piece of paper, the places we wanted to go, so made it easier to catch, buses or taxies etc to get there. Not stayed anywhere else... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
