This is a simple place. if you don't like simple then don't stay here. We like simple and we like cheap so we had a great time at Amarin Inn. It is around the corner from the two main tourists streets in Bangkok. It took us less than 10 to walk to Khaosan Road from here. There are also lots...

Kai was our angel! She was very helpful in showing us how to get around Bangkok, knew all the bus numbers and best sights to see. After we checked out, we were catching a night train to Chiang Mai. She let us store our bags at the hotel and even let us use the showers before we left, and gave...

Stayed here for 7 days. Always have fresh towels. Staff were very helpful and even provided us with maps and tips (bus and boat taxi for cheaper travel). Rooms are spacious, toilet were clean and there was free breakfast!

For the price, it cannot be faulted. Clean comfy bed, towels, shower that works, five minutes or so walk to the thronging nightlife of Khan San Road. Grand Palce, Wat Phro and many other beautiful temples within twenty minutes walk. The local tourist map that the staff will give you is helpful, but distances are quite deceptive, so try and...

We stayed for three nights in a twin room, paying 750B per night. They insist on payment in advance, and a 500B deposit for the key. The location is perfect, as it’s close to Khao San without being too close. One of the two ladies on the reception desk is lovely, very friendly and helpful; the other one is a...

Ticks all the boxes for what we were looking for in Bangkok. Close enough to the action but also quiet when you want to get some sleep. Room and sheets were super clean and we were upgraded from a fan to A/C room at no additional charge. No complaints! Would recommend it and would stay here again.

The staff is very welcoming, and the rooms are mostly great value for your money. The aircon is great, but there are a couple of small problems: - the matress is as hard as a rock - beware! - the electricity inlets might not hold your chrager/whatever. I have no idea why. It just falls out. - The showerhead is...

This place is definitely hard to find but as long as you get the taxi driver to call the hotel en route it's generally fairly simple! Excellent location only 3-4 min walk to Khao San Road and the most lovely staff there as well! The rooms are clean, we left too early for the breakfast so I can't comment but...

This place is pretty hard to find which was not ideal after a 11 hour flight, even with the aid of google maps and the information on the website..The room was typical backpacker budget, although the bed was a lot more uncomfortable due to the plastic sheet which covered the mattress. Don't expect to be able to catch up on...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
