Wow!!! We stayed with Kem and Kath for our honeymoon in Chiang Mai, November 2010. The communication pre visit was second to none, Kem kept us up to date via e mail and organised his driver to pick us up from the Train Station free of charge. We were greeted after a long over night journey on the train by... More

We stayed 5 nights here and had a great time. The location is great for shopping and the nightlife. The owners treat you like family and make sure everything is taken care of for you. Breakfast each morning(toast, jam, fruit, coffee, tea) and free wifi. There is also a computer to use if you need it. For only about $30... More

My wife and I stayed at Vanilla Place for several days this past August and received top notch service. The room was clean and pleasant as one would expect. Also, the smell of Vanilla oil burning in the hallways is very welcoming. The breakfast, internet, etc. on the second floor was extremely convenient. The staff went out of their way... More

If you are looking for a 4-5 star hotel, then Vanilla Place is NOT for you, but if you are looking for a simple, clean guesthouse with a fantastic location, good A/C, small yet clean private bathrooms and wonderful management to boot then Vanilla Place is for you. The Vanilla Place is a family run business and Mr Kim the... More

I would like to say that Vanilla Place is realy great choice. We were travelling with my husband around the Thailand and it was the only place that we feel like we are at our home. If we had any question Mr Kim would always advise and help us. For him there was nothing impossible. Location: It is near Night... More

I was only in Chiang Mai for one night and chose this hotel based on TripAdvisor. I requested airport pickup which worked out great. The hotel is pretty small and located on a relatively quiet street. It's not very close to the sites at all though and I was unable to get a taxi to take me back to the... More

Can't say enough about Mr Kem and his staff and the wonderful hospitality we received here!! Firstly he arranged for us to be picked up from the airport for free. Secondly, he booked a couple of things for us - kantoke dinner and jungle flight - and got us discounts. Also one day we had to borrow the office printer... More

My partner and I stayed here during our visit to Chiang Mai. Kem and staff arranged for us to be picked up from the hotel we were currently at free of charge and brought us to the guest house. We stayed at Vanilla Place for 4 nights at the end of October. The room was clean, comfortable and the air-con was quiet and efficient. The bathroom is clean and is open-plan.
