Room is quite small but convenient, clean, quiet. We acknowledged that it was not the peak travel season, so the owner wasn’t there but the housekeeper or someone they hired for only few months, and the person we dealt with was not so friendly and helpful in travel/transport tips. Otherwise, breakfast was great, neighborhood is nice, walking distance to sunday night market and many other cool places.
We stayed here in Feb, this was our first time in Thailand and first hotel to visit! The staff were friendly, the rooms are nice and spacious. However, the walls are very thin, so you can hear people talking and using the bathrooms from other rooms which wasn’t great. We had breakfast every day, which was okay. We thought the hotel would be more central than what it was, it’s a bit of a walk to the main restaurants/bar area. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool and sun lounge area, which was helpful when waiting to check-in! Chiang Mai overall was our favourite place, the Thai cooking class and the elephant nature park we visited here were amazing! You can book all sorts from the hotel also and all our transfers collected us right outside the hotel.
The staff welcomes you with a big smile, knows English very well, they helped me personally when I got a little cold. The shower is very huge, the bed is VERY huge. Very highly recommended. They helped me with every question I had. The breakfasts are very tasty. I had a very good experience and recommend trying!
Our stay was wonderful. M, Tangmo and Wan were very helpful, outstanding customer service. They were always friendly and happy to answer any questions. The hotel was extremely clean and the breakfast good, made to order. I definitely recommend this hotel. My phone charger didn't work and I was able to borrow one for our stay. Within walking distance to attractions and restaurants.
We are three spanish friends and we have spent a night in this hotel and the experience is being increible. The staff are really kind.the room is confortable and cleans. The breakfast also delicious :)
My wife and I are travelling Thailand on our honeymoon, and I have to say the team at Wing Bed made us feel very welcoming.. always greeting us into the building. The breakfast was simple and well cooked.... the fried eggs were spot on... it has a great location for all trip, tours and temples... we will be returning very soon
My family & i stayed here for five nights, lovely hotel great location, nice little pool & sauna, the staff are a credit to the hotel they’re extremely friendly & very helpful loved our stay here will definitely be staying again 10/10 😊😊😊
Well located hotel for local bars and markets, tuk tuks available outside all day, 7-11 very near, good aircon, not noisy at night and very adjustable, good hot shower, comfy bed, nice breakfast with cereal and fruit etc on the buffet and hot food to order. Reception speak very good English and can organise tours or anything you want, they are so helpful. For the price you pay you can't go wrong. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again.
PROS: -Rooom was spacious and clean. Bed was comfy, shower was powerful, and a nice walk in. There was a good amount of counterspace to layout your stuff. -Breakfast had excellent coffee (espresso) -Location in the old city is not bad. You can take the low cost R3 bus (only 20 baht) to and from the airport. -The R3 yellow route bus drives on the left lane so you don't have to cross the busy street. Going to the hotel from the airport takes about 10 minutes, the closest stop is Chiang Mai Gate. You can catch the bus here for a scenic ride around the old city and onto the Nimman area (trendy, hip zone) -When going to the airport, catch the bus in front of the Buak Hard Public Park (5 minute walk from the hotel). CONS: -Mosquitoes in the room. -Corridors are not enclosed so its quite warm as soon as you leave the room. -A bit confusing/misleading that they call it a breakfast buffet, but it is actually a set menu with five choices and the buffet is a very small area with self-serve coffee, tea, milk, juices, cereals, yogurt, and few raw vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded carrots, lettuce leaves) to make a salad. There are many small restaurants in the old city, but you have to walk a few minutes from Wing Bed. Overall, the stay was ok but I'm not sure I would return. If you're trying to book a local tour, do a quick check of the many places on the same street. The front desk claimed the price listed on the brochure was non-negotiable but I'm certain we could have done better with any of the number of tour agencies nearby.…
The hotel is average but the staff are extremely nice and friendly. Breakfast It was delicious and totally fresh made “a la minute”! I would very much like to mention that the cleaning it could have actually been better. I was not expecting a five star hotel of course but cleanliness for me is crucial. The hotel it is going under some kind of renovation but the area it is not closed properly and unfortunately it is the first thing you see when going to the rooms, it is not really welcoming I might say. The isolation it is not that great and you can hear almost everything outside of the room.
