The price was 400 Baht, as of now about $16 CDN, so a fair value for budget accom, which this Inn is. Other reviewers commented on staff friendliness, whatever, yes, they are curt at the front desk, but imagine how many farang and our 'expectations" they deal with every single day. The room was clean enough, shower was hot when...

After traveling 48 hours from Koh Lanta, we arrived at the Chiang Mai train station where we were approached by a vendor. He said they had a room for us, called to confirm and said we would be picked up in one hour. After reluctantly waiting another hour after such a long travel we were picked up and taken to...

Stayed for 2 nights to visit the Elephant sanctuary near here. Room was comfortable enough with good aircon but waking up the first morning the smell of raw sewerage coming from the bathroom literally made us heave. We went to the sanctuary hoping it would dissappear by the time we returned. Area was great, food was cheap in the restaurant...

I got off the train in Chiang Mai and found a helpful information desk handing out maps and parting their knowledge of the area on you. SK house was heavily recommended. The information desk told the tuktuk and we were on our way. Not so far from Thapae Gate but in a nice quiet corner of the inner city. Rooms...

If you can stand the rock-hard bed and the french people talking and smoking in the garden till 2am, then the price is a good one. the I stayed here for a few days in Nov2015 for vacation. The first night was great because the place is cheap and perfectly located away from the city noise, but still in the...

The tour guide was very helpful, he will save you a heap, as he is not out to rip you off. Many outlets to charge you ipads ect. Not the most helpful front desk, but have seen worse. Cold...

The SK house was so refreshing after leaving Bangkok. We booked our rooms through the train station paying 275 baht each (2 of us) for a room with no AC. They picked us up from the train station. It was clean & the pool was beautiful. The staff is very friendly & helpful. They have great food with a great...

Room is basic but pretty clean. Fan rooms are fine. Pool is in definite need of a clean- dirty with lots of mould growing out of the walls. We didn't find staff overly friendly and wifi only works in the lobby area. The attached travel agent is overpriced. For the same price, we found better guest houses in the area...

We spent 2 days and night in this multi floor hotel with a nice refreshing outside swimming pool. The place is a bit old but price are more competitive that in their new and bigger SK House 2. Still the place lack of some atmosphere. We paid 300B for a double room with fan.
