Baan Klang Wiang is a little oasis inside the walls of CM. The staff are so friendly and attentive. Booer, and Nancy were amazing, helping me with little things such as drying out my saturated boots. The location is great and quiet. A walk or short scooter ride to everything. Over the road is the temple with the massage school - the real Thai massage and so cheap. Breakfast by the pool, just lovely. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the four poster beds are super comfortable. They gave the suite upstairs when I came back from a weeks riding. It was almost too opulent. Price is very reasonable for such a great boutique hotel. The booking process was done by email and I admit ringing to confirm just to be sure, but all was in order. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in CM.…
The hotel was wonderful to stay at. We got upgraded upon arrival and the staff was pleasant to deal with. We needed to have some of our bags kept at the hotel for our elephant sanctuary experience and they were more than accommodating. Food at the restaurant was delicious for breakfast, as well. We would come back and stay here again!
In the heart of old Chiang Mai, near the night market. On a side street and very quiet and well appointed rooms and public spaces. The staff was attentive and excellent. Breakfast was spectacular each day with lots of choices. We had to leave before breakfast one morning and they provided us with a take away breakfast and snacks for our day trip. The room was lovely with Thai furnishings. Spacious rooms that had everything including fresh fruit. Small pool, quiet courtyard with lots of places to sit and enjoy the laid back atmosphere.
We had a great stay at this small boutique resort. The staff was very helpful and attentive. We had a fresh cooked breakfast (made to order) every morning which was so nice to have!! Nice location within the old city, and walking distance to one of the night markets. Would highly recommend for someone looking for a quiet, quaint and lovely place to stay!
This is a very nice small hotel property, Good location just inside the old city - near the Chiangmai Gate (South). Quiet immediate neighborhood and just a short walk to restaurants and all that Chiangmai has to offer travelers. Rooms are spacious and well lit. Aircon worked well and not too noisy. Shower had plenty of hot water. Small desk for working. Only real shortcoming in the room - could have used more electrical sockets for charging devices.
Agree with previous reviews. The 2 room suite upstairs was fabulous, thank you for the upgrade! Very quiet. Loved the antique furnishings in the suite as well as the common areas. The staff were unobtrusive and warm but very efficient, noting us leaving the hotel to tend to housekeeping. Pool ladder was repaired as requested. Staff were very helpful about booking tours, taxis and restaurants. Their business card offered for return taxis - hand written in Thai was a godsend and very much appreciated. They also sell hand made hill tribe cushion covers at good prices. Yes hotel is on the far south wall, but a cheap ride to anywhere. Grab (like Uber) was really handy, we also used the open red trucks and air-conned taxis, and once a 3 wheeled tuk-tuk but beware the drivers mainly serviced locals and have limited English - where the hotel card was handy.…
Beautiful, peaceful boutique hotel in a great location in Old City Chiang Mai. From the moment we walked in we knew we had made a good choice for our stay, the staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are absolutely stunning! Breakfast everyday was made to order, really tasty and plentiful. You actually feel like you have your own villa. Location was perfect. The decor and atmosphere is very tranquil. We will defiantly be staying here again one day. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay with them very memorable.
So happy with my stay here thus far! Many wonderful things to say about this boutique hotel in the old city about 5 minutes walk from Chiang Mai City Gait night market (great eats here too btw). Breakfast every morning is luxurious, with an a la carte menu that you hand select the night before with many different asian/western options. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. I had a room on the 2nd floor in the corner, AC a bit weaker but cooled off the room in about 30 minutes (furthermore, I stayed in Chiang Mai when it was 100+ degrees so might not have been the AC but the hot weather outside). I stayed as a solo traveler, seems like only other families at the property during my stay but noise was not an issue as I had feared on check in. Pool is a LIFE SAVER during hot season, and shared areas are well decorated with sophisticated taste. Great location too. Situated in the south of old city, and was able to walk all the way to other side of old city in about 30 minutes. 150baht to and from the airport as of May 2019. Laundry services at the front desk for 60baht per kilo, that was pretty clutch as I was about to run out of underwear 😯. I had such a nice stay, will return when I Chiang Mai and would not stay anywhere else! …
You will found a very comfort small hotel in the middle of town, nice staff to help. The room is big. Nice breakfast. Some comment from me is : please put a plug or usb charge in the table beside bed and the table. Also, the hot water change to bigger heater because the hot water not stable. For swimming pool water is too cold.
This hotel is perfect. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I will use this review to walk though the hotel and just how perfect it is. Staff - The best! Second to none. They were always there to assist and help you, This included helping us set up tours, special eating requests, rush laundry requests, etc... I had booked several activities to do in Chiang Mai prior to getting there. When I got there I tried to call these places to confirm pickup times etc... and they did not speak English. The people in the hotel offered to call all of them to help confirm everything. Hotel staff does not get better then this anywhere. The location - It is in a very quiet area, across from a Temple. We were blocks from the Saturday Market (2-3 minute walk). and only blocks away from a main street with lots of street food and a food market (must visit).I could not have asked for a better location. Never more then a few minute walk, taxi or Tuk Tuk ride to anything else in Chiang Mai. The lobby area is beautiful. It is very comfortable and loaded with art and material about things to do in Chiang Mai. It was not just a bunch of flyers about things to do, it actually looked like a collection of magazine that described everything. I was told that the whole hotel is Lanna Style Connected to the lobby was the outdoor "patio area" where the pool is and patio chairs are. They also had several tables and was where we had breakfast every day. It was so peaceful and beautiful and just a good place to relax. Again being served by the ever smiling, always will to assist staff was a very pleasant way to start the day. Breakfast was amazing everyday. They would hand you a menu checklist the day before and you filled it out. When you sat down food started to be served to you. The food was amazing and plentiful. It was enough to hold you for the whole day. They had western food (omelets, etc...) or Asian specific food (e.g. whole fish, soup, vegetables, etc...) Whatever you chose it was delicious. The fruit was second to none. The last day all I wanted to a few servings of fruit (and none of the other breakfast items) because of how good it was (and there is only so many servings of grilled pork or whole fish) I can eat in a week. One day we asked for a 5:00 AM wake up call to go on a 7:00 AM tour they even left us a bagged breakfast for us to take on the tour. The room. Saying it was incredible would be an understatement. It was better then that. It was huge, clean and beautiful. There was a large living room area with a couch, chair, large coffee table, television, refrigerator.counter that we used to charge everything (phones, cameras, etc...) desk with more chairs, etc...) This led to a huge bathroom that was fully stocked with anything you can need (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc..) and included a very large shower. Then there are the two doors that open into a huge beautiful bedroom. This included a four post bed that was incredible to sleep in. There was a safe in the room and everything else you would expect. The room (and the whole hotel) was amazingly clean and well kept. It does not get better then this. This is the best.…
