Booked the hotel based on Trip advisor reviews and was not disappointed at all. Nice peaceful location. Hotel Staff were amazing in every respect and rooms were immaculately clean :) My friend being a staunch vegetarian... was worried about breakfast. But was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed her breakfast every morning :) Would recommend this beautiful place to anyone who is visiting Chiang Mai. Thank you to the whole team at Villa Sanpakoi :)

From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty by the nicest most helpful hotel staff you could ever wish to meet. The accommodation is beautiful and spotlessly clean and cool pool a bonus in this heat. Breakfast was absolutely fine with a wide choice of food to suit all. I would have no hesitation staying here again but agree with previous comments that’s it’s in an odd location. Saying that it is quiet and away from the noise and traffic of the main town and taxis are incredibly cheap. Special thanks to the night staff who stayed on late after their shift had finished to have my wife’s phone successfully returned after she left it in a taxi.

We stayed at the Villa Sanpakoi for 4 nights. We got off to a bit of a rough start as we had pre-booked transportation from the airport to the hotel. What we expected was a hotel rep to pick us up. What we got was the Uber (ok, it is Grab in Thailand) driver from hell. But we arrived safely if somewhat shaken. Check in introduced us to the amazing staff at this hotel. They simply cannot do enough for you. Our room was ground level right beside the pool. The room was huge and very well appointed. There was a really cool little sitting area just outside our door. The bed was firm but comfy and we slept very well there. The bathroom was almost exaggerated in size. The pool area is amazing. It has a spa feel to it without being over the top. The water was noticeably cool, but that was very pleasant after a warm day touring. Breakfast was included and was ok. We stayed at six hotels in Thailand, and this one had the poorest choices for the meal. I mean, it was still light years better than the trash you get at most economy hotels in North America, it just did not stand up to comparison to others in Thailand. So, having said all of this, why only a 4 rating? It came down to the location of the hotel. It is located about three blocks down a side road from one of the main arteries into the old city. That does not sound like a big deal until you try to walk it. We literally had to wait for breaks in the traffic to dash around parked cars along this stretch. Once we made the main road, then all was well. The location also meant the choices of eateries was limited.

We had the truly yet amazing staycation during our time in Chiangmai. Villa Sanpakoi is a relatively new yet chic villa accommodation. Room is neat, clean, spacious and quiet to sleep at night after a long day out. Great hospitality from the team members of Villa Sanpakoi. They are dedicated to help and assist their guests at all times. We personally had no issue with villa's location. There are plenty of local restaurants, cafes, bubbles tea, ATM and Rimping Supermarket within the distance. We will definitely return at this accommodation for our next chiangmai trip.
