We stayed here for 6 nights. The hosts are really friendly and always around if you have any questions. The rooms were clean and cozy. Bathroom was pretty basic but did the job! The best part for us was the location. Despite being off a busy road with lots of pubs, the surrounding streets were quaint, quiet and pretty which gave us the holiday vibe! Also near by tourist spots such as the Sunday market abs museums. Downside is there is no breakfast available - although it’s not really an issue with so many nearby breakfast places.
Servicio increíble, es un remanso de paz, todo limpísimo y agradable a los 5 sentidos y la ubicación es genial. Además, la cama es enorme! 100% recomendable. The hotel service is fantastic, the perfect place to chill after visiting different places in Chiang Mai and the location couldn't be better. Moreover, the bed is enormous! You must come here if you are to visit Chiang Mai.
This is a nice guesthouse centrally located in the old city, by many restaurants & bars & massage places. It is set back from the street & is quiet, even on weekends. Our room was on the 4th floor. There is no elevator, which wasn't a big deal for us, but if it is for you, ask for a room on a lower floor. The outdoor lobby was cute with a couple tables & a couch. There is water & beer for purchase (inexpensive) & bananas & coffee & tea (free). The rooms are simple. Ours had a small outdoor area w/ a drying rack which we only used to leave stuff to dry. There is a bathroom w/ a pretty decent shower. The a/c wasn't super great but it was good enough. Our bed was listed as a "queen" but it was actually king-sized. No refrigerators in the rooms - that's the only thing I felt was really missing. I would recommend.…
Beautiful location even-though it is hidden from the main road. Room was spacious and clean and has all the basic amenities but there's no fridge or a mini bar in the room. However I love how they have bananas make available everyday for their guests for free. Small cosy lobby with very homey set-up. The only set-back was the staffs were not really keen to serve you. Not willing to even throw you a smile when they see you. Overall a good basic hotel for those who are cost conscious.
We stayed here for 2 nights when we first got to Thailand. Reception staff are very nice, and keen to help. Location is very quiet, away from main roads, in a nice walking street, peaceful (but touristy) neighbourhood. Note, that car access to the door is a bit difficult (we had a slight walk which was fine for us). Only negative on this was price. We paid 1200/Bt per night, which I think is a bit above average for this standard in Thailand. (Most guesthouses are 600 - 900 Bht). Having said that, Chang Mai is a bit pricier than Chang Rai, and the smaller towns on Northern Thailand.
This guesthouse is amazing value for money. It’s situated close to anything you might need in the old town; shops, bars, restaurants, plus the Sunday night market! Free coffee/tea available at all times. Staff are very helpful and attentive. The WiFi can be a bit sketchy (obviously depending where your room is), no fridge and the bed isn’t the comfiest but my partner and I really didn’t mind because of the price and the location. Would 100% stay again but only for longer!
I can attest that @Tampa was overcharged as I was standing right there and her the lady working ask for over 20,000 baht. I know this because I was standing 3 feet away and thought to myself dang that's a lot of money in the US as I put the amount into my baht/US converter and it came to over $600. The owner/manager then said we can check the video which we patiently waited on for the entire length of our stay only to find out the "company" who records the video never called back. I can tell you one thing. We paid over 20,000 baht. I am interested to see/hear if this so called video company ever called back to verify. I think not...although the owner/manager claimed at the time that the "video" should show how much was paid. I know how much was paid and how much should have been paid as far as booking.com is concerned. I don't know why we didn't check the paperwork at the time of check-in to make sure we paid the right amount. Also, don't understand why they say there policy is to "not give receipts" that sounds shady to me. When we did ask for the receipt later that day, the girl working kept putting it off until 2 days later. Obviously, I don't expect for anyone to be returning any money at this point, but this review is for the sole purpose to have anyone checking into this hotel to verify how much they are supposed to pay before walking up to the counter. The hotel itself and the people working seemed nice, but this goes to a matter of trust and honesty. If you are unsure, then pick another hotel. There are plenty of others around.…
We loved this place. It’s a great location, excellent value for money. Our rooms were very clean and the air con effective. Only things to keep in mind are that there is no lift. If you have heavy bags the staff will help you with those. Also, you do hear some noise from the busy bar nearby. For me, this was muffled and didn’t disturb me but if that’s the kinda thing that will upset you then try elsewhere. Finally, it is down a quieter road. We were 3 girls and did not feel unsafe at all as it’s close to great places to eat and shops etc., but bear it in mind.
@Tampa..I'm Sopha,I am very sorry for any misunderstanding, it is not our intention to make you feel like you've been cheated in any way. We have only charged you for the price of the booking, no more than that. We have furthur investigated the issue and believe that the money we collected from you was accurate and was not overpaid. I understand that you are not satisfied with this result however we will ask you to please refrain from leaving bad reviews about us. We have double and triple checked the amount we recieved from your booking and we are taking steps to avoid any furthur confusion in the future. Thank you for staying at our guesthouse and we hope you enjoyed your stay.
We were a family of five traveling together and had booked our stay through Booking.com. Upon arrival, on December 28th, 2019, the desk clerk, Sopha, charged us 20,400 Baht for our five night stay in 2 rooms. The way she asked for the money was in a demanding tone, she said, "You need to pay me 20,400 Baht. I had never used Booking.com before and thought it had been charged on my credit card prior to arrival. Hesitantly, I paid her the money and failed to ask for a receipt. After going to our room I returned to the desk to ask for a receipt and she said she would get it to me. I asked daily for the receipt for the rooms and finally received it on Dec. 31, 2018. It was dated the day we checked in and indicated I paid 12,500 Baht for the 5 nights for the two rooms. I then checked my paperwork from Booking.com and it indicated our price was 12,500 Baht for the two rooms for 5 nights. When we approached her about the discrepancy of 7,900 Baht she was very defensive and indicated that she would have to wait for her Big Boss (the owner) and that they had cameras that could verify it. When the Big Boss (the owner) arrived he did not try to reconcile the problem but went on to say he instructs his staff not to issue receipts and then proceeded to call me a liar. When asked to get the footage from the video camera he indicated he would but never did. When we checked out on the morning of January 2, 2019 neither the owner or the clerk were around. My husband is Thai so we have visited many cities in Thailand on different occasions without incident. Yindee Stylish Guesthouse is in a good location in the Old City with many restaurants nearby and the Night Bazaar close by. The guesthouse was simple but adequate as we were not in our rooms much. There is no restaurant on sight but they do offer coffee and hot chocolate and have a place to buy water and sodas on site.…
