We stayed here a few weeks ago, and it was a great experience. The owners of the guesthouse are warm and welcoming. Really helpful too. It never seemed an imposition to ask them for info on where to go and how to get there, the relative cost of transportation from one place to another etc. Very pretty garden/cafe area with...

Owned by a brother and sister, I enjoyed my stay here. The hosts are very helpful supplying you with maps and also explain the best places to eat and top sights to visit whist in the city, The room itself was bright and clean with cable tv; AC and a fan; fresh toiletries; fresh bottled water each day and a...

I came back many times to Chiang Mai and it's was great each time to know that I was going back to Sabuy and feel home like I do there. There's no other place I feel the same than here, at least in Asia and I probably stay three weeks there. Tea and her brother, the owners are so welcome...

Our strategy for locating accommodation during our holiday in Thailand was: 1/ rank the B&Bs, guest houses or boutique hotels by Tripadvisor member recommendations, 2/ review the comments esp. 'Poor' and 'Terrible' (if any), 3/ email the accom. from their own website re: availability, and then 4/ book accordingly. Using this we came across three absolute gems - all family...

I kid you not. Ti the amazing young woman that runs Sabuy called us after we had left and alerted us to having left behind our camera charger and camera battery. We were about 10 miles out of the city. She got on her mad cool leather accessorized motorcycle and met us at a McDonald's at Mae Rim. I was...

We arrived at Sauby and found the room basic but clean, and the bathroom was very good for this budget - even a step and shower curtain so the loo didn't get wet. We had hoped to stay for 5 days but left after 2 :( The reasons were the bed was 2-singles (bunk-bed?) joined together, so not great for...

after spending a horrible night at pagoda, we went for a search of a room. During weekend and flower festival, almost everything seemed full or looked horrible, until we came across this small place with beautiful small wooden bar and garden in front. Hidden in a quiet alley in the downtown, close to all the sites, nightlife and restaurants, we...

Aun and Tapoew are the best hosts we've had while visiting that area. Although, we don't stay at the guesthouse every year we go, they have become good friends. We usually stay outside the city now. We always drop in for a chat. Their English is very good and have now opened a little language school on site. Tapoew takes...
