I made the decision to stay a little upmarket for me on my first two nights after a long journey from Australia. I found Sathu in the Lonely Planet, and then booked by email. Communication was excellent. I was very pleased.. However, when I go t there, I found the room to be very small. Luckily I was travelling on... More

Should be 2-3 times cheaper for quality. Padlock for a doorknob. Miserable breakfast. Shower over the toilet and everything gets wet. And service is not particularly friendly. Tells were not soft and look serious. I would read this at ASICs hundred barked to 700 but polite experience. The sweet upstairs looks very nice but also would not pay more than... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, our room was newly renovated and beautiful. Pros: Our room was newly decorated and beautiful! Beds were comfortable Nice to have a pool (which was VERY SMALL) but we weren't there to swim anyway. 2 computers to use for internet in the main area Quite, peaceful area Staff was friendly Location was pretty good... Cute place. I went there because it was in lonely planet. Nice enough but teeny tiny rooms and strange bathrooms (deluxe room). Huge mosquito problem. Staff was nice but don't try to explain anything complicated in english. Overall it was nice but way to expensive.

The room is really tiny, the shower is over the toilet! No place in the room at all. The pool is the smallest I have ever seen in my life!!! You can hear everything the peoples in the room next to you are saying! During our stay a drunk Chinese couple was screaming and keep all the others guess awake... More

I booked Sathu after looking at the beautiful photos on the website. My boyfriend and I had been travelling around Thailand and decided to 'treat' ourselves to nice accommodation for our stay in Chiang Mai. Willing to pay extra for a nice hotel, we booked Sathu for 7 nights. The outside area and reception is lovely. When we were shown... More

Stayed in Sathu while in Chiang Mai for a few days. We were "flash packing" but even Sathu pushed our budget for the room offered. Furnishings well lovely, and the bed extremely comfortable but room was quite small for two people. The bathroom, as mentioned by others, is very small with the curious decision to place the shower head facing... More

The hotel is very different from what it appears on the website. The rooms are extremely small and cramped. There is no separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom. You can literally sit on the toilet and take a shower simultaneously. In fact, the bathroom is so small, there is no other way to do it. You... More

Do not EVER consider Sathu Boutique for your stay. Despite the good photos on their website and on booking websites the hotel is nothing like we expected. The room smelled stale and humid like the windows hadn`t been opened in months. The room was so small that the bed was the only thing that fit in there. It was so... More
