The owners are friendly and helpful, but that is the only good thing I can write about the guesthouse. The room and bathrooms where dirty when I arrived and didn't get cleaned in the next 3 days. I feld uncomfortable so put my stuff on the floor and in a dirty locker. In the most bathrooms it was impossible to...

I have just stayed at this hostel and I can say I really enjoyed my time there and I was sad to be leaving. At 120 baht a night, I did not expect much more than a bed to sleep in however this place delivers a lot. I was lucky in that I was the only person in my 6...

If you are thinking about sleeping in the dorms, dont. They are cheap, but thats because as soon as you shut the door and hang out in the room for an hour, its unbearable. I had to use a cold, wet towel as a blanket just to get me through the night. However, the family that owns it is wonderful....

I have stayed here over the Songkran period and it turned out to be an amazing place. We had lovely staff member and very helpful with any questions I had. Its a nice place to meet people, and its location is very close to the centre. The restaurant part has very good food and I was their Number 1 fan...

I've spent the last two Songkran (water festival) holidays at Chiang Mai Backpack House. Both times I'm amazed by how close of a family feel you receive from the staff. The guests usually join together for events, meals, parties, etc. A great place to go. The owner and his family will make sure you are taken care of, not ripped...

I stayed here a total of 8 days. Great hostel. Clean. Comfy. Pillows are fluffy n the right size, Quiet building. They rent motor bikes, plan tours, has multi-fanned dorm rooms, hot water showers if desired with pressure. Close to the old square and main road. Most everything's near by. It's perfect really. Thai family runs it n owns it....

I had good talks with Toni the owner and think these people are one of the nicest i met in south east asia. Besides that they offer a cheap accomodation but its quite clean though....

I have stayed there for 8 nights. I liked the accomodation and location of it. Staff is very friendly and keen to help you. Location is close to south gate and classic thai marketplace. Excellent location to meet Chiang Mai, both old and modern.

The staff were very honest and friendly, I hired a motorbike from them and didn't use all the fuel up and for no extra charge they let me use it the next day too. Rooms are decent and good location but the bathrooms could do with some better cleaning. Otherwise I highly recommend this place to any backpacker, cheap and...

I had a fantastic 6 nights here, and this was only possible with the impossibly hospitable, friendly and helpful owners - Tony and Oil. They made my friends and I felt welcome right from the check-in, providing much needed information about the city and offering help whenever possible. They assisted with the booking of travel tours to make everything fuss-free...
