Have been several times and always satisfied. The rooms are large and comfortably furnished. The breakfast buffet is varied and well stocked. The pool is never crowded, and big enough for a real swim, and the gym has all the equipment you could ask for. I like the location which is a little outside of the main tourist area of the walled city. There are plenty of small restaurants serving a range of dishes, and a useful market. For several years I had an annual physical at the hospital across the street, and was treated quickly for an injury at very low cost. Next to the hospital and just across the stteet is a little cafe that serves the best mixed berry I have had anywhere in the world. All the staff are courteous and helpful. Plenty of golf coursed around and the staff will provide a cheap ride and pick up. Altogether I'm looking forward to my next post Covid visit.…
The room was very clean, the view very great could see the main river "Ping River". There are many street foods, fresh markets and restaurants surrounding the hotel. The breakfast service was good and sufficient. The waitresses were pay attention and actively in service.
I was welcomed by Khun Ton and he still delivered the recognition to IHG member even I checked in at late night. We know that the hotel is old but the room was spacious and clean. I have no issue with the room and quality of sleep. My room on the top floor gave me the best view of Chiang Mai in the morning. The only downside is that the treadmills at the gym have no emergency stop clip (only 1 out of 4 has it). Also, the chemical cleaner for users to clean the equipment after use by themselves is dissapear. Especially this pandemic time that people are concern about cleanliness, the management should consider providing it. Anyways, the hotel is surrounded by several local stalls and markets which you can find local foods within 1 minute wlaking.
Room was cleaned daily, and the staff were so slow to responds to any inquiries. Gym is clean and good enough equipped, and pool is relaxing. I liked the cleanliness and location the most .. Almost forgot about their breakfast, big buffet with lots of options. Only went once, because I mostly just ate at restaurants around the city. Very affordable for the service. Big let down was internet speed was so slow for all devices they could not fix
Upon check-in we were greeted with open arms...Hotel operators hate morning check-ins, but the Holiday Inn staff were anxious in pleasing all my wishes, daily Bangkok Post, great breakfast buffett, absolutely the nicest Holiday Inn i've stayed in, some Holiday Inns in the states are sketchy, we've all stayed in one, but not this baby. The pool is bigger than average, and deep, not 3-foot deep like some hotels. The view of the Ping river and of the mountains and the city lights is very romantic. My room is so large, after small rooms in Bangkok, its fantastic and have all the room one needs...and then some. Area has 7/11, massage rooms, and great little restaurants just across the street...with the heat, i'm by the pool and theres both sunny spots, and plenty of shady ones too...I give the hotel and its knowledgeable staff 5-stars...I love this hotel!!!!!!…
