I write this review mainly to contradict some undeserving negative reviews. Opinions are often based on where you come from, and what you are used to. People from some countries have unrealistically high expectations, and it's my personal opinion, that perhaps Thailand isn't really for them. I stay in the Holiday Garden twice per year. I stayed for 13 days, the room was clean and the hotel staff was helpful. Only the problem is the wall to the next door was so thin that I was woken up late at night or early in the morning by crazy travelers. The breakfast was not great, but good enough. At the last minute, I decided to go to Chiang Mai from Bangkok. It was too late to make an internet reservation (and recieve a confirmation), so I went to a travel agent, looked at some brochures and picked the Holiday Garden. Big mistake! Small rooms, non-smiling staff, little interestest in providing a restful, pleasant experience for their guests. More...

Really dissapointing. The service is terrible, the staff are really rude. The hotel is pretty but it's miles away from the town, they tell you they have regular transfers but it's a total lie. We tried twice to get it and both days they made us wait until 8 in the evening, and then told us the driver was off...
