After reading some reviews for this Hotel, we (as a family of 4 Adults) were a little sceptical about our stay here in Chiang Mai for 4 nights. As our title shows, this hotel is a hidden gem; and just like the film, it is full of romance and wonder. Yes it needs a little updating, and the very friendly...

Hotel is big and fancy.. Service is good Has a nice gym, and facilities, the room is wide and comfy but has no safe, I used the laundry sevice, very cheap and clean. Staff are very nice and the service is good although their english is very weak so we had some misunderstandings.. Breakfast is good.

Spent 3 nights at Chiang Mai plaza hotel. Location is walking distance to night market with all sources of goods and foods, music entertainments. I like the fish spa which is fun. 100baht for 15 mins. Hotel room is big with AC and pool. Although the wifi a bit slow, since we are out all day sightseeing so we don't...

Check in was very slow, The room was quite satisfactory. Breakfast was poor with very little selection they seemed to cater mostly for asians. Dining room food was disgraceful, also watch your bill as they charge more than the price on the menu. The one good thing about thi The hotel check in was very slow, not at all organised....

The lobby is impressive as you walk in. Look closely and it is very dusty. On one of the lobby tables I wrote "please clean" in the dust and it was still there 3 days later. The rooms are old and not dusted. Curtains old and drab. Looks like it was a great hotel/convention plaza back in its day. Pool...

It is quite impressive when you entering the hotel lobby. Huge lobby and nice decoration. But you have to walk long way to take the hotel lift to guest room. Room is fine but I found ants on the dressing table and also toilet. I don't like the big mirror that facing directly to the bed. Paper thin wall so...

This place was once in a class of its own, I gather, but not any more, as newer hotels have sprung up all around and the Plaza now needs major investment to keep up. The central location is its only saving grace. We had a 'de luxe room' - plenty of space, with reasonable furnishings, but a rock-hard bed, and...

We found this hotel by happenstance, unbeknownst to us that it was only a half-a-block to the Night Bazar. The hotel offered the amenities of a 4 star hotel, with the potential to be a 5+. However, although the rooms were comfortable and clean, the furniture looked quite worn out. It can really use an upgrade. The current furniture downgrade...

The hotel is desperately in need of investment throughout, there is a lot of empty & wasted space. The advertised spa is permanently closed & the wifi was very intermittent and non-existent for over 24 hours. Whilst our room was big, the bathroom was really old, there were a number of lights not working, the wardrobe door were broken and...

Second visit in a year and I did say I wouldn't come back, due to to the bathrooms and most rooms needing TLC, which is exactly what many other TA comments said. I can't say as we were that impressed with the breakfast either, when you see how much is in offer. However the location is perfect for where we...
