For the price the rooms are small and very unremarkable considering the selection in the area, however the area is off the road enough for quiet and better air quality than the main strips nearby and the reception is manned 24/7 for a good feeling of security. The main area on the main floor is lovely, and there is a... More

Had to make a last minute booking, this was the closest place to where we were that had a vacancy. The room itself was small, we got a twin bed. The room had a/c and a decent shower, as you as you are not looking to be spending a lot of time in there. The room will do. We paid... More

It is now called Barbara Guest House although it is still listed as Buddy Guest House in some sites. The rate used to be as low as 250 bt in the low season but this year the rate had gone up to 550 bt per night. It is still a very fair value considering cleaness and the facilities. However, the... I cannot comment on the accommodation at this guest house which is one of many conveniently situated in the back streets between the moated city and the night markets. We were however greeted by pleasant staff although English not great when we stopped for breakfast one day. I had muesli with yoghurt and honey, my wife just fresh fruit yoghurt... More

My 2 kids and I stopped at Buddy Guesthouse for coffee one morning. (okay, the coffee was just for me, but I stopped at Buddy because there's space for them to run around, and it's green and inviting looking, plus I saw they had a "proper" espresso machine) Barbara, the owner, came over while we were there and took a... We stayed here for 2 nights and found the place quite nice and central. Located just outside the walled Old City, it was conveniently located near the night bazzar and Warorot market. Situated down a quiet lane, it was a good place to sleep. We had a room on the 2nd floor. The room was small but enough for 2... More
