In a quiet garden, the rooms are clean and comfy. Good beds, good air con, good wifi and reasonably priced restaurant. The managers are kind and helpful. Others mentioned the barking dogs - we heard them rarely and only for a short time. Never at night. Was very quiet and peaceful here.

I have returned here many times. It's very quiet and clean. Great location and near markets and massage spas. Great location to the Anasurn Market and nightlife. They offer breakfast and a tour guide is readily available for tours.

Really nice place to stay. Clean rooms, not very pricey. Lovely staff. Decent breakfasts. Stayed there for 3 nights with my girlfriend and a couple of friends and would definitely recommend again. Not too hard to get into town - plus bike hire round the corner.

The good news is the owners' warm welcome and the setting, a leafy, cool enclave in a choice spot in CM and a short walk from the night bazaar and the Ansusan market (beware Thais bearing tourist traps), the Loi Khro bars, Ping River walks, and lots of restaurant options. Sadly, the gamboling squirrels some reviewers rhapsodize about must have...

Lovely, clean room, great friendly staff especially lady named One at reception. A five minute walk to restaurants like a little cooking school restaurant around the corner that was excellent, and a fifteen minute walk to the wall and moat. Very enjoyable.

We came across this guesthouse on an old Lonely Planet Guide suggesting it was mid priced and good value. It certainly lived up to this and is obviously doing something right to still be listed! The other big attraction was that it was located outside the main city centre, close to the river and one of the piers. This meant...

The Baan Kaew Guesthouse is set in amongst a beautiful tropical garden.I awoke every morning to the noise of the birds in the trees. If you sit on the balcony by day there are squirrels playing in amongst the trees.By night there are bats flying from tree to tree.So it is a nature lovers paradise. The rooms are old but are very...

Stayed here as part of a group tour, very good choice on behalf of the tour company! Lovely & tranquil, very green and very open! Good breakfast and washing service, a very comfortable bed after spending a significant amount of time on the train from southern Thailand! Close to the night market! Loved this place!! Would rate 10/10 and come...

We booked baan kaew of off the advice of lonely planet and were greeted with a lovely warm and helpful welcome. Although we were expecting basic accommodation we felt that for the price difference between the hotel up the road and that which we paid we were expecting a little more. Again lovely people just needs a little love. Bed...

This is an inexpensive guesthouse just a few blocks from the Night Market. The room was basic but spotless--very comfortable. The staff were so nice and friendly, and very helpful. The outside seating area was a wonderful garden--we enjoyed this oasis in the city. Just across the street from a beautiful wat. Highly recommended.
